When she said she wanted a little more powder from her makeup artist, Kim Kardashian got a whole lot more than she was bargaining for.
The reality star was on a London red carpet promoting her new perfume line when a female onlooker threw a plastic bag full of a white substance at Kim K’s back and shouted, “Fur hag!” (Via: TMZ.com)
The star has been heavily criticized for her fur wardrobe by PETA, and was named one of the five worst people or organizations of 2010 when it came to animal welfare by the rights group. It seemed that Kim wanted to skip the drama for the night. She refused treatment from paramedics, went to her hotel room, cleaned up and changed, then went right back down to the event. ”That probably is the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that ever happened to me,” she told reporters. (Via: People.com)
However, police were called to the scene to handle the “substance,” which turned out just to be cooking flour. The 31-year-old actress has not, and will not press charges against the woman who was detained and later released by police.
Check out more pictures of the flour-bomb incident in the gallery below (Via: toofab.com).
Lovelies, do you wear fur? Would you flour bomb a celebrity to raise awareness of the anti-fur movement?

Two things: At least it was flour and not red paint. And at least it was flour and not cocaine.

Assholes. I would’ve quickly punched them straight in the nose. Nobody should get assaulted for no reason.
I wear fur and proudly. When you live in a place that for five months straight your breath freezes in your coat, you have to. I was totally pro-animal rights till I moved to Russia. I’m not okay with wearing fur in easy winters or in warm places, actually I don’t like how it looks, but like I said, if it’s really really stupidly horribly cold, there’s nothing better.

i’m not against fur in an ethical sense. i just find it to be incredibly tacky.

They called her an actress? That’s a little far-fetched.

HAHAHAHHAAHAHA whatever it’s harmless and hilarious

Personally I wouldn’t wear fur because the weather never justifies it, and not fond of wearing fuzzy things, but if other people want to wear it, who am I to judge them for their choices? I mean, there are other options of clothing, and sometimes the use of fur is necessary to stay warm. I guess I am ok with the wearing of fur if it’s not just for the sake of fashion. But, I am guilty of wearing leather (and I still eat meat). At least she didn’t make a big deal out of the situation.

Yeah, let’s all please recognize the fact that she’s not wearing fur for the weather.

LOL. What I can say about her is that she didn’t blow it way out of proportion, least she handled it with a bit of class…for once.
guest
HAHAHA, that just made my day. Thank you for this post
And that’s utter bullshit for people who defend her saying “She’s just trying to keep warm!” Total and utter bullshit. It’s not like she’s living in Canada or something. She’s living in freaking L.A. while she’s wearing these fur coats, and yeah, I’m sure England can be cold, but still… Definitely not cold enough that you need to wear a fur coat. She tries to come across as this totally gentle and down to Earth person who cares about everyone and everything in her show and whatnot when she’s clearly just an uber rich fake snob, wearing fur purely for style and because she can with her money, which is disgusting in all sorts of ways. She’s lucky she just got flour thrown on her and not something worse. I’m sorry, but I refuse to feel sorry for her.

I would have used acid instead.

I don’t wear fur and not just because I don’t live in a cold climate. I don’t particularly care about Kim Kardashian, either, but no one should be flour bombed just because of what they’re wearing.

good, bomb that bitch

People are disgusting. I’m sure I’m gonna get a lot of shit for saying my opinion as usual but that’s assault. I hate how its only a big deal if protestors get pepper sprayed or something but because a celebrity gets hit with a bag of flour it’s ok?I’m not saying that protestors should be peppersprayed or anything but it’s unfair. She is a person too. Kim should not have to change her wardrobe because a small percentage of the population doesn’t like it.

i love how shes not pressing charges. shes trying to be all goody two shoes now tht people hate her. if this was before her divorce, she would have sued i can bet you. shes jus trying so hard to be on the publics good side again.

Honestly, it just reeks of a PR stunt to me. But that’s just me. Common sense says BS.

i would’ve thrown flour at her regardless

I’m not saying the person who threw flour at her was right, but really she wears fur because it’s “stylish” not because it’s warm… (and she has the money to afford a few poor animals’ lives for their fur) She doesn’t even need to keep warm she walks out in designer tops and shorts whether it’s freezing cold or hot and sunny. So stop the “oh she’s wearing fur because it’s cold”. I’m pretty sure if you don’t live in Russia or some place where you get 20 inches of snow and ridiculously high wind speeds you don’t need a fur coat. Let’s face the fact that she wears fur because it’s “stylish” and a good way to show the world she’s rich as hell. Plus isn’t faux fur good enough? Why real animal fur?

I just find it really weird how this situation happen. Why did nobody notice her giant bag of flour? Why did nobody question it? And how did she even know someone was going to be wearing fur there? She just lug around a thing of flour incase she sees someone wearing fur? I just don’t understand!
Either way, it’s terrible that this happens. It is assault. Who the fuck cares what she’s wearing. PETA needs to get over itself. I understand you believe in animal welfare, whatever, but being a dick for no good reason just makes you a dick.
Also, saying you should only wear fur when it’s cold is kind of ridiculous. She can wear whatever she wants. That’s like saying I should only be allowed to wear boots when it’s cold.

Wow, what a brat. I’m all for animal activism, but grow the fuck up.

What an idiot. Can’t anyone think of more refined ways of expressing their views?

I just can’t muster up the ability to care about what happens to her. Kinda like how she can’t muster up enough care to not wear real fur. She was flour bombed, not fucking hit. And she doesn’t live in the goddamn arctic, anyone with a brain knows why she actually wears it.

i would have thrown it at her too, she is disgusting.

can you stop posting about her now?

@MasqueradeOfDreams@xanga - Actually, it’s been reported that now that she’s had time to think about what happened, she’s amped up security and the situation will be ‘dealt with’. Someone is sour, I think.
guest
@blonde_vampire@xanga - Is your comment a pun? If it wasn’t intended, I now declare it a pun
(Refined flour hehe).

I think it’s kind of funny. But sad

@amyunicorn@xanga - She really didn’t have time to think about it right after it occurred and probably wanted to present a cool demeanour at such a random act (at least I’m assuming based on the way it was posted here), I can understand her changing her reaction once out of the public eye and after having time to consult with the people she works with or.. hires. Whatever. I’m fairly certain that if I were harassed/assaulted like that (because like @Love_never_fails pointed out it IS something that would be considered assault or at least a serious issue had it occurred to any normal person) I would probably try to hide any reactions if it were in public so as to not make matters worse in that moment (or simply because I’d be too shocked to know how to react) and then take action later. Would you be happy with someone throwing flour at you for a personal choice you make that doesn’t harm anyone else? There’s having an opinion and voicing is in a respectful manner and then there’s being childish about it and potentially harming someone. I’m pretty sure this draws more attention to the woman than to the cause as well. So I see nothing “sour” with her reaction now.
guest
She could’ve at least thrown it in her face. Assaults from behind are nothing short of cowardly.
guest
I don’t care for fur, nor do I care for Kim, but if someone flour bombed me, I’d be sure to punch her right in the face.

The fact that she had to go upstairs and change her outfit was a godsend. The leather leggings look like sausage casings. Not good at all.
