Kelly Clarkson recently announced that she has a boyfriend. His name is Brandon Blackstock, and he is Reba McEntire’s stepson. They’re rumored to have started dating late last year. 

Back in September, Kelly mentioned that dating is hard. She gets a lot of offers but it’s never the right guy. She compared her dating life to “American Idol.” She said the worst guys are the most confident ones. Just as on the show, the worst singers are the most confident ones. 

But she found a guy who has a lot more to offer her than all the other guys who were overly confident and just not right for her. Kelly’s new guy understands the music business. Brandon Blackstock is a 35-year-old Nashville talent manager. 

Before the couple started dating, Kelly had been single since 2006. Her family and friends back home wonder why she’s not married yet. She comes from a small town where most people get married at a young age. Kelly is 29, and people from her hometown think she should be settled down now.

After she broke it off with her last beau, singer Graham Colton, some people thought she might be a lesbian. As for Kelly, she’s waiting for the right guy and that doesn’t happen quick for everyone.

I say good luck to the “Stronger” singer, and may she be happy and no longer have to be “Miss Independent”!
