I know, I know, it seems like they were just announcing their Marni collab, which hit stores this past week, but H&M has another line up their sleeve.
The fashion brand has revealed its new Exclusive Conscious collection, which is comprised of more than a handful of bright, springy, red carpet-ready dresses. A few starlets, like Kristin Davis and Amanda Seyfried, have already rocked a few pieces from the line, which will be available to the public starting April 12th. No word yet on how much one of these babies will set you back.
I’m loving mostly everything about these frocks — the cuts are bold and the colors are spring and summer perfection (I’m dying over the lime green number with the back cut-out). Granted, most of us probably don’t have a slew of events to attend in the near future which might require evening wear, but some of these would be perfect for a spring wedding or formal. Bottom line, I need to find an excuse to buy one.
The best part, though? All the dresses are made for sustainable, recycled materials so you can be mind-blowingly chic and feel good about doing it. Holla. (via HuffingtonPost)

What do you Lovelies think of these looks? Would you rock them?

I have about 8 prom dresses, and every couple months a guy friend and I go out for supper, him in a full suit/tux and me in a floor length gown LOL. Lasttime we ended up going to boston pizza dressed like that, you don’t need a formal event to buy one of these, just a friend and a place to eat

@haleymroach@xanga -
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one thinking that, it looks super awkward, I HATE that photo..

The only one I like is the orange one. If it weren’t in orange.

@Trueinnerbeauty - That’s just awesome.
I love doing similar things for my girlfriend. I don’t NEED a particular special reason to do something special for her. SHE IS the reason!

@Rhindon@xanga - Good for you! that is an awesome way to treat her. When I find a guy to date i’m hoping to go for more dinners like that, but the last 2 have been less than stellar choices on my part lol, oh well. I have also gone to fastfood joints dressed up, there is no better way to enjoy a big mac than in a limegreen princess dress LOL

@Trueinnerbeauty - That sounds absolutely awesome.
For that matter, have you seen the movie “Courageous”?

@Rhindon@xanga - not yet, but I have been hoping to! you recommend it?

@Trueinnerbeauty - OH! ABSOLUTELY!
Now, the production quality is low – as in, not as refined as Holywood - but don’t let that stop you. That’s simply due to a lower budget. What they DO with that budget, though, is amazing. Absolutely more powerful than virtually EVERY OTHER drama-inspirational movie, period. Including myself, I have never heard more positive and life-CHANGING testimonies about that movie from MEN ALONE (who are the main audience, let alone from the women, too) than from any other similar movie.
There’s a point in the movie between one of the fathers in the story and his teenage daughter. Be looking for it.
Your story about dressing up even just to go to McD’s reminded me of that scene and it’s heart-tugging and tearfully beautiful. It makes me want to go out and buy my future daughters their special dresses for just such occasions. Doh…but now I’m starting to spill the beans. *zips lips* (I’ll add you to my friends list if you like. That way you can tell me what you think when you get to watch it. It’s on DVD even now.)
