You remember Tara Reid. She was a household name at one point, finding her way into practically every campy thriller and teen blockbuster imaginable in the late ’90s and early 2000s. Then she kind of hit a patch of bad press: crazy weight loss, botched implants, and whatever else the tabloids wanted to throw at the super-blonde, super-tan actress. But at the premiere of American Pie: Reunion this week, Tara positively glowed. Is it possible that a star so widely dismissed as a train wreck can rise from the ashes and be hot again? Apparently so.

Tara has probably (definitely) had a little work done, but in the way I think doctors intended when they invented facial fillers and Botox in the first place. You know, in moderation. Her skin is healthy, her pretty face fresh, and her body fit and nourished-looking. The 36-year-old actress dropped out of the spotlight in 2008 amid mixed rumors and truths of drug addiction, eating disorders and stints in rehab. And while she hasn’t made any fanfare about it to speak of, I can’t help but call this triumphant reappearance on the scene a bit of a comeback.

Which brings another little lady to mind. I think you know who I’m talking about. The 25-year-old starlet attempting her own comeback, the pretty girl who’s had her fair share of stumbles: Lindsay Lohan. I was made a little uncomfortable by Lindsay’s performance on SNL this week. She didn’t appear to be under any influence or back to her old ways, but she also didn’t seem ready to be back in the spotlight. Perhaps Lindsay needs to call up Tara Reid for some guidance on how to lay low for awhile, lay off the Juviderm, and rise back up when the time is right. Check out the gallery to see how far Tara’s come.

What do you think about Tara Reid’s new look? Seeing Tara now, do you think there’s hope for Lindsay Lohan to get back on top?
