I mostly email or text my mom, but I’ve noticed that a lot of people call their mom a few times a week or even every day. I can’t imagine doing that, but kudos to people who are so close to their mom!
For those of you with your mom still in your life, is she your best friend? And how often do you call your mom on the phone?
You can purchase the Keep Calm and Call Mom poster from the KeepCalm Shop on Etsy.

I call my mom almost everyday. I knew she misses me. And I miss her too. Mom, I love you =)

I call her everyday, if not a couple times a day. She waits for the call, so even if I have nothing to talk about, I still listen to her for a few minutes to make her happy. =)

I live with my mum, but when I didn’t, I rang her everyday. I find it weird that people don’t – I love talking to her and telling her about my day and hearing what she’s upto

I think the appropriate frequency depends on whether you live with your mom or not. My mom and I don’t live together anymore (it’s been two months) and we uh… should probably talk more than we do, but we have conflicting schedules so it’s hard.

My mom and I used to talk every day, but right now we’re not on speaking terms:( she’ll come around & we’ll be calling each other every day again.
But I do call my dad every day!

Our relationship is rocky and we often have periods where we don’t talk for a long time, but overall,–considering everything that’s happened–we have the best kind of relationship, that we can have. It’s not normal, and it’s not necessarily healthy, but she’s mom.

Haha, I’d totally buy that poster when I move out few monthes later. My mom calls me almost everyday, and I don’t like it always. But when I’m having a bad day or something, I talk to her. I love my mom.

We live about 20 minutes apart, but we usually talk once or twice a week, sometimes for hours. Every now and then I’ll go hang out at her house and we’ll do some craft project together, or home improvement project.

I text my mom almost every day. We both don’t really like talking on the phone, but I do call every once in a while if I need her opinion on something or just need to vent. She is the closest friend I have right now.

When I lived in the UK, it was too expensive to call my mom on the phone. We would skype every so often, if not once a week then several times a month. We would chat on facebook chat pretty much every day. I know she missed me and wanted me to talk to her, so I would. She did give birth to me, after all.

When I’m in the US, I text with her multiple times a day, but only call when I either have really amazing things to tell her, or am having a nervous breakdown. Now that I’m in another country and calling and texting are expensive, we Facebook message several times a week and Skype once in awhile. (And btw, that Keep Calm poster is EXACTLY my philosophy. Life falling apart? MOMMYYYYYY!)

My mom and I used to be close. Then, a man came between us. We had a good run at being friends and being close but 2011 and 2012 have blown it all to hell. We are not close any more. I dread even calling her now, which is crazy!

I’m super close to my mom, but we still talk only once a week. Even then we run out of things to talk about.

I used to talk to my mom all the time because we were pretty close especially because I took care of her before she passed away very recently from cancer. I would give ANYTHING just to hear my mom’s voice once again.

My mom isn’t my best friend…she’s my mom. But perhaps I am past the age where that distinction matters. We text most days and I post funny pictures to her facebook. As the baby, I know it was hard for her to let me move to another city for university, but I think she has gotten used to it (since my second year here is already ending in a few months). I still drive home every three weeks or so, and I know she keeps busy with work, hobbies, and grandchildren. Sometimes it’s harder to leave my parents at home than at other times. All I know is that I’m happy to be out of that rebellious phase and matured to where I can really appreciate everything my mom has done and still does for me. The same goes for my dad.

I call my mom when I have something I need to tell her and def. once a week for one of our long chat sessions. It keeps me grounded I think. My mom is one of my best friends, I can tell her how I am feeling as a chick that my husband may not get. This week I called her on Monday and then Tuesday during the day and then in the evening because I had stuff to tell her.

Mama’s boy that I am, I call her every week on Monday / Tuesday. (We live far away from each other)

I heard somewhere that hearing your mother’s voice has a calming effect

Well I live here now but when I was in WVA I would call her all the time lol. I love my mum. My dad I hardly ever talk to, which is ironic because they’re still married. We just don’t get along as well.
