Will celebrities (or even just everyone) please learn that digital information is forever? So while you may be able to ensure that pet photos are preserved in cyberspace, scandalous ones can remain out there, too! It seems that Christina Hendricks and Olivia Munn forgot the “digital photos have staying power” rule, since alleged raunchy photos of them (separately) have hit the Internet today.
We’ve included some of the… tamer shots here, but you can see more pics at the source. Naturally, both camps are denying the validity of the more revealing and obscure photos.
What do you think of the photo leak? Have you ever taken pics that would scandalize you if they hit the net?

What’s so scandalous? Sadly they are not naked
orchid / 128 posts
I think rather than telling people not to take naked pictures, maybe there should be more effort to spread the revolutionary idea that you shouldn’t be a dick and send around personal pictures of someone. Instead of chastising the actresses, go after the people who violate their privacy.

these aren’t nearly as bad as what I’ve seen put out there.

ummmm no way…they take pictures of themselves similar to ones that other women take. Next thing you know some one will claim that they eat food and drink drinks. I also agree with @voicimessecrets@xanga - why talk about the actors/actresses who had their privacy invaded. The scandal should be about the hackers who can’t respect them as human beings.

The problem shouldn’t be the fact that they’re taking “risqué” photos of themselves; that’s their business. The problem is that some prick out there feels entitled to someone’s private photos and the people who get blamed are well in the law. Just because digital information is forever doesn’t mean that the devices these people own aren’t private property.
Is it generally bad advice to take semi-compromising (or very compromising) photos with an Internet enabled device? I would think it is generally not suggested. But that’s not the crime. The only reason it is not advisable is because of other people. The actual bad guys in this scenario.

@voicimessecrets@xanga - @Erika_Steele@xanga - For real.
OP: You know that rape argument- where people blame the victim for wearing revealing clothes? And then of course, someone says, it’s never the victim’s fault. That’s made me think a lot about situations other than rape, and assigning blame. It’s not these actress’ fault for taking pictures (if indeed they did), it is the jackass who put them up.
And yeah, I’ve taken those kind of photos before. You probably would too if your husband was gone for a year. Or you just might do it for fun- which is fine too. Of course you should be careful about them, but if someone’s going to hack into your computer or phone, steal photos, and put them on the internet, it’s NOT your fault for taking them.

The scandal is taking photos sans makeup. You should go badger @Cakalusa. He’s been exposing the ugly women under makeup scandal for a few months now.

Dear Lovelyish,
And Scarlett Johannson was upset that photos taken “privately” were hacked. Absolutely nuttin is private when posted anywhere near cyberspace.
I’m a senior citizen and not a celebrity. I’m certainly not as sexy as either Christina nor Olivia. (Nor Scarlett)
But hey, I’ve posed NAKED pics of myself quite a few times right here on Xanga.

(come to think of it, now that I’ve lost over 35 pounds, I should probably post another NAKED pic showing my abs!)

I would be denying the hell out of those pictures if I took the other ones that Olivia Munn took of herself. She wrote some gnarly sexting on some of her pictures.

Aaaaand this is why I can never become famous.

well, sexy.

I want that corset. Also, none of these photos are that “scandalous.” Gods, there are worse photos of me on the internet.

They’re really not that bad.

maybe

I ensure that any scandalous photo of me is something many or most would find hot lol. It’s my guarantee precaution that I won’t be ashamed or embarrassed on the internet. Being leaked to family members? Well, that’s another story

@MoonFaeEyryan@xanga - Check out the source/links at the source. There’s some super-NSFW action there.

I wouldn’t care. Tame.

Christina Hendricks is soo beautifult to me

@MoonFaeEyryan@xanga - That is because Lovelyish didn’t post the NSFW, super scandalous ones. Olivia Munn’s included some of text too, dirty stuff she likes this guy named Chris to do to her. I post on message board with a bunch of dudes and one of them was all over this.

@voicimessecrets@xanga - agreed. But there is always going to be hacker assholes, and the only way to 100% prevent something like this is to not take the pictures. They have every right to be upsetr and embarrassed and outraged, but not surprised.

Ok, Christina Hendricks photos weren’t even bad. But the rule I use is if you wouldn’t be okay with your mother seeing it, then don’t do it/take the photo.

Oh its not hackers. Its their PR department…please….these ladies are selling sexualized images as their occupation. They just do this stuff to get attention. Ever notice these “scandals” come out right around the time they are failing to catch attention OR are releasing something new? Yeah.

It’s scandalous that anyone would violate their privacy twice by first getting the pictures and then again by spreading them around the world.
