Despite what critics are saying about Lindsay Lohan’s ‘SNL’ performance, one person thinks she did a great job. That one person? Lindsay Lohan herself!
Many critics have weighed in with not so positive reviews of Lindsay’s comeback to ‘SNL’. Although she is no newbie to the ‘SNL’ stage, last night was her first time up there in the past 6 years (6 years filled with LiLo controversy). The Washington Post suggested that through her obvious cue card reading, Lohan “dropped the ball”, speculating that “Lohan also didn’t fully reclaim her status as a young comic performer worthy of casting in major Hollywood projects.” Although there are many critics that agreed with the Washington Post, Lindsay Lohan thinks she did a good job hosting ‘SNL’.
TMZ is reporting that sources close to Lindsay told them that “she understands it wasn’t a perfect show, but she feels proud of the episode.” Lohan feels that she did the best she could do — that counts for something, right?

@lovelyish - No, I’m not a fan of SNL. Even people who usually are funny just aren’t funny to me on the show, but I’m also not a huge fan of set-up comedy like that. I think most of the videos online are US-only also!

i feel like the show started off soo funny, and it kinda dropped after the weekend update. like the afro skit was stupid, and really lindsay wasn’t a main player in a lot of the skits. they made a big deal out of it but she was in the background for a lot of the skits. like the scared straight one? that was a big one for her to poke fun of herself, but i felt it was kenan doing most of the talking and when lindsay did talk, she fumbled her lines. i mean, i’m still a fan of her, but i think she could’ve done better.

Im #TeamLiLo and all, and I had high hopes watching her come back to acting but I was really disappointed :/ It was kinda boring and not that funny, I give her A for effort though.

I think her biggest success was that for the first time in a LOOOOOOOOONG time, she didn’t look totally coked-out/anorexic. Could it have been funnier? Yes. Could she have relied less on the cue cards? Sure. But all told, I thought it was decent & I’m REALLY hoping this marks the beginning of her regaining her (relatively) healthy life.
