I’m all for a good sheer, partially see-through shirt. This may seem like a questionable, risque statement, but paired with a cute tank or bra, it sometimes works. That same idea on the lower half, though, is something I’d never imagined. Thanks to Katy Perry, though, the unimagined has become an actuality.
Our favorite blue-haired vixen, who is currently gallivanting through the streets of Paris for the city’s fashion week, decided to go the breezy route and wear a sheer skirt, showing off some minty green undies. That takes some confidence. And not to mention a killer set of gams.
But does it leave too much to the imagination? Should sheer clothing be left to a woman’s top half? Or is it never a good idea?
What do you Lovelies think?

Yep.

I like it, if I looked as good as her I would rock this look too! xoxo

Normally I would say I don’t like this. She styles it well, I love how girly it looks. It’s not practical though.

She looks like a sloth. That green ain’t purdy.

Well, the good thing is that she’s wearing panties which cover her lady bits and her ass.
But the skirt is still a terrible miss.
guest
The skirt is pretty. A nude or matching green skirt/slip underneath would have looked better but no one would be talking about her.

she’s in paris, therefore, everyting iz fabbulous dahlinggggs

She could have picked a worse (more revealing) pair of panties. I’m just saying, it could have been worse. But, no, I don’t think sheer skirts are the way to go. A sheer layer over something else works.

sorry ladies, i think this look is a FAIL!
guest
too much

Just no. The dress looks like something a grandmother would wear (other than the fact that it’s see-through) and that color just doesn’t look good on her. I do like her hair, though. The color and the style.
guest
It’s awful, and her hair looks so bad as well.

Just.. no…

Her dye job looks so cheap…she’d have been better off with a wig.
guest
I don’t like it, at all. I’m not a fan of sheer shirts with bras underneath either though…
guest
for us mortals yes, but she’s Katy Perry…it is sort of her job to be ‘edgy’.

@KasumiCelesta@xanga - With unnatural colors, apparently stylists like to leave some roots, to actually prevent a fake ‘wig’ look. I’m guessing thats why it looks that way anyhow.
Also, to me it looks like the “undies” are a part of the skirt, or even the top, like a leotard. In which case, I don’t think thats so bad.

ew. So many things in this picture, so trashy…

Styled right, on the right body type, it can look good. BUT NOT ON HER. She manages to make it look like a big wet cloth nappy.
guest
she is definitely a trend setter.
but i just don’t like her blue style.
guest
Lol, gams? I don’t like sheer. Too hard to pull together.
@under_the_carpet@xanga - I agree.

She looks good in it, but it’s definitely not a style I would take on as my own. I have WAY too many issues to try and get away with a look like that!
