I don't know about you guys, but I loved the Help. Okay, I'm aware of the criticism and I know it's pretty historically inaccurate at times. But I love movies about plucky heroes like Minnie and Skeeter. I just can't help but identify with them and love them. You know what else I loved? Skeeter's vintage style throughout the movie. So I thought I'd put together a few outfits to show how you can incorporate a little bit of plucky-retro into your everyday style.

Outfit details: Dress, ShopRuche. Sweater, Romwe. Kitten heels, Urban Outfitters. Bracelets, Dorothy Perkins. Flower hair pin, Zara.

First and foremost, can we talk about Skeeter's super cute, gauzy summer dresses? So cute. And pleats look good on everyone (except on pants, really). They hide all kinds of things you want to hide, while still looking prim and classy. Too keep the outfit from going retro-overboard, I would add a cute, patterned cardigan -- I love this one with moose on it, because it looks warm and it's still snowing where I am!

Outfit details: Tank top, American Eagle. Sweater, Madewell. Necklace, Forever 21. Jeans, Old Navy. Flats, Wet Seal.

Colored jeans have a very retro vibe to them -- and I love that they mostly come in skinny jeans varieties. Why? Roll them up to just above your ankle and add a pair of flats -- voila, a look that is both trendy and reminiscent of Skeeter's more casual outfits. Add a pretty floral tank and a cardigan to stay warm.

Lovelies, what movies inspire you? Would you wear any of these outfits? Don't forget to check out the gallery to see more inspiration from the Help
