Fans of the hit show Family Matters have reason to rejoice. Or at least fans of Steve Urkel. That’s right, we’ll once again be getting to see our favorite nerd on our TV screens again. Although, this time he’ll probably be looking a little more like Stefan. Either way, Jaleel White, who originated the role of both, will be dancing his way into our hearts again as a contestant on none other than this season’s Dancing With The Stars [via Just Jared]
Jaleel joins the super diverse cast for the series’ 14th season and will be partnered with professional dancer Kym Johnson. Prior to this casting, Jaleel as Urkel introduced us to a lot of things. Those awesome suspenders and cardigans, that iconic phrase “Did I do that?!” and some pretty entertaining dance moves. All of the above are why I’m personally super excited to see him once again strut his stuff on stage. I can only hope that that infamous accordion will make an appearance too.
Also in this season’s cast: Gavin DeGraw, Donald Driver, Melissa Gilbert, Roshan Fegan, Maria Menounos, Katherine Jenkins, Gladys Knight, William Levy, Martina Navratilova, Jack Wagner, and last but not least, Sherri Shepherd.

mmm….Gavin DeGraw. yum. My mom has never been a Dancing with the Stars Fan, but now that Urkel’s on it she’ll definetaely be watching it now.

This is an attempt by Urkel to maybe get noticed again and get cast on some series. This show is mostly self promoting and there is alot of hype involved in regards to the compitition itself. Has to be that way for the rating and to get peoples attention.
I think the original theme of the show was lost. Where people came in who were not soppose to know how to dance. In the past we’ve had professional ice skaters and the Osmonds anda few show people. So it was no secret who made the final.
I think its time for shows like Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Batchelor and all these dumb reality shows to just leave us alone and the producers should start being a bit more creative

I’d love to see him do some work without the suspenders, glasses, cardigan and nerdy personality. Without all that he’s very attractive!

@catstemplar2@xanga - they’ll stop producing when america stops watching, which i doubt will happen. they continue to get good ratings and good viewing numbers, and the seasons keep piling up. if america didn’t want to see it anymore, they’d just stop watching. i don’t pay attention to these things anymore, the hype has been long gone for me and i don’t want to boost the ratings or anything by watching.
