We all have our quirky interests (maybe even semi-obsessions) that people roll their eyes at. But one couple has documented their serious love of the Twilight franchise with an engagement shoot. See a gallery featuring some of the lovebirds’ photos after the cut!
I must say that I could never have a themed engagement shoot (even a Princess Bride one, like the OP suggested on Geekologie). It seems like you’d be explaining the photos for years to come as knowledge of the book/movie waned. Besides, your engagement is about you, not a couple of fictional characters! Why not take the opportunity to show off your personality as a couple? Unless, of course, you’re actually engaged to a sparkling vampire.
What do you think of the photo shoot?

It’s a fun idea, but they don’t really look happy/in love.

All I can do is laugh. Hysterically.

Ack.
I read the series when my daughter was into it.
I am NOT a Twi-Mom.
And I did not count it as a “love story for the ages”.
Thank god my daughter went onto Firefly and Dr. Who….

Nothing says “I love you” like modeling your engagement photos after an abusive relationship between a one-dimensional necrophiliac and an undead Hufflepuff.

Wait are they old enough to get married?

Awesome I think it’s a cute idea. They look happy together.

In the second-last picture the groom looks like Finn from Glee..
The pictures are really beautiful and to each their own:)

@QuantumStorm@xanga - YESYESYESYES.
guest
haha as long as they both like it, then good for them
guest
But shouldn’t you be all happy and lovey in engagement photos?
guest
They look miserable with each other!
guest
The guy looks hot…the girl looks rather creepy.
guest
Other than that woman’s creepy/weird looking face, these pictures don’t look all that different or remarkable. Nothing about these pictures even says “Twilight” to me. *shrug*
guest
Gag.
guest
ugh!

@galadrial@xanga - congratulations! nothing as cool in the life of a scifi mom than to see their kids follow the same path…
well, at least thats how i’d feel ^^

@jetpkpanda@xanga - Actually…she’s leading me. I was old school—Heinlein and the like…she turned me onto Joss Whedon and the Doc!

Eh, all couples do stupid things when they’re young.
When they get older and their kids ask them what the hell is up w/their wedding photo, they can just shrug and say “it was the 2000s. Twilight was really big back then” and teach their kids a little history.
guest
I can’t stand Twilight but its their photos and if they like them good. I do think that regardless of the reference they look pretty.
guest
LMAO
guest
Pretty sure asking me to take those pictures would be the end of our engagement.
guest
Not very creative…
guest
Why aren’t they smiling

The bride has the same facial expression in every photo like Kristen whatsherface…

@crazygrampastuey@xanga - I like your perspective, it’s a very mature way to look at it.
guest
OMG I LOVE IT.
guest
So, um, why do white people have engagement photos?
guest
is this actually an twilight re-enactment or just two people who wanted to take photos in the woods?

I’ve seen stranger. It’s what they wanted to do, so people shouldn’t hate on them.
guest
They don’t even look like they have anything to do with Twilight, except for being in the woods.
