Much has changed for Katy Perry!

I’ve already come clean about the awkward-looking child I was in middle school. From my experience, I learned that things happen, kids get ugly and then most of them eventually grow out of it. What I never considered, however, was that some celebrities were just as strange-looking in adolescence as I was. That’s why Flavorwire‘s gallery of celebrity yearbook photos caught my eye and made me laugh! Check some of the photos out after the cut!

Conor Oberst’s photo is my absolute favorite. Who knew the mysterious, somewhat sultry indie singer came from nerdtastic roots? Maybe that’s why I still love him, despite being of an age where that’s not “cool” anymore.
