Tyra Banks is a very busy woman, but she was able to graduate from Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program. She enrolled last February for the two-week course. But probably because of her busy schedule, she was just now able to graduate. The owner/president/management program had a costly tuition of $31,000.
While attending Harvard Business School, Banks lived in the dorms. She also wrote a New York Times bestseller, had a break-up and found a new man and performed in a small film/ad.
After graduation, she tweeted a couple photos and told her fans how excited she was.
What do you think Tyra will do next? Can you believe she lived in the dorms?

She didn’t graduate from a 4 year program from harvard, she received a certificate from one of their business programs. This is from yahoo..

^^ What she said. Stop making it sound like she did anything that wasn’t buying a degree.

Doing some two week course is not a degree.

I’m so tired of people saying she graduated from Harvard’s business program. No. She took a few classes and got a certificate. She has no degree from Harvard.

It is good that she bettered herself and puts a focus on education as someone in the beauty industry.

I’m proud of her as always!

@daydreams_nightmares@xanga - no less.. a two week course in a span of a year lol sheesh.

At least she had an education from a school of higher learning. I say good for her!

she lived in the dorms of harvard?!?!? as in, she lived 20 minutes away from me and i did not know?!? eh, cool story bro.
guest
at least someone in this fucking country still values education..
guest
eh? good for her.

Ah, the frivolous things money can buy.

While I think it is great she did it, I think it’s kind of…much how they are blowing it up to be more than it was.

because the woman clearly needs to learn about business. ;(

A rich woman bought herself a degree from a school with a fancy name. Sure she had to study and all but I doubt what she learned was even worth the price. 31,000$ for something you can learn in two weeks??
Perhaps she just wanted the expirience.

Wow. A whole two weeks. That’s complete bullshit. A two week certificate DOES NOT and WILL NEVER equal a full degree.
Come on, people. If she’d ACTUALLY graduated, it would be news. A fucking bullshit two week course is a meaningless way for Harvard to make money without actually teaching anything.

HAHA I knew there had to be a catch. I thought this was like a BS or a BA, MFA, MBA…SOMETHING. But a two-week course isn’t anything. Probably anyone willing to pay could sign up for it. And living in the dorms is probably just so she can show here humility and down-to-earth-ness. Why the hell would you live in a dorm for a two-week program? LOLOLOL gimmicks. Poor Harvard; deflating their image.

So basically she paid 30k for a piece of paper stamped by Harvard.

For those talking shit: business school in general (yes, I realize she just did an executive 2 week course) is pretty much “buying a degree” and the connections that come with it. Tyra would never need to waste two years getting an MBA because she already has all the connections and opportunities she needs.
This isn’t major news, but neither is most celeb news which follows the formula of “insert celeb name” doing “mundane action.”
