Find yourself calling or texting your best friend all the time? It may be time for these two matching Best Friends iPhone cases from Rebecca Minkoff (via Pinterest):
Proper use of this phone case may actually save your life! Scientists have found that friends can increase your life expectancy:
It was found that close contact with children and relatives had little impact on survival rates over the 10 years. However, those with the strongest network of friends and acquaintances were statistically more likely to be alive at the end of the study than those with the fewest.
After controlling for demographic, health and lifestyle variables, the people in the top third of friends social networks were found to be 22% less likely to die over the following decade than people in the lowest third. The researchers … said the benefits may be due to the fact people could choose their friends, as opposed to family members.
Do you have a best friend? How long have you guys known each other, and how did you meet?

I have a couple bffs. Since my dad’s side of the family shares a house in Cape Cod in a tiny little neighborhood, I have friends there that I not only go back really far with, but our parents go back far, too. My best guy friend and one of my best girlfriends’ mothers have been friends with my aunt for god knows how many years. Even through ups and downs, and even though we don’t always talk in the off-season, I know I will be friends with them our entire lives.
My other bff, I met in high school. She moved there our junior year and by the end of the first semester we were inseparable. When we started applying to colleges, we didn’t discuss much other than sharing the same dream college (which neither of us ended up even sending in our applications for). After we already got acceptance letters and decided we were going where we were going, we realized we both we going to Wyoming. Our freshman year we went through recruitment together, and promised not to tell each other which house we wanted. We ended up in the same house anyways. People call us the twins, because we are always together. I know that after college, even if we go separate directions, we will always be close friends.

My best friend and I went to high school together and then moved away to different collages and then moved even further away to different jobs after college and now live 2.5 hours from one another. I miss her every single day and have made many new friends but she has always been and will always be my number one. I consider her a sister and would choose her over most of my family if the situation called for it.

We met six years ago at a Beatles tribute concert in high school
and became friends when he started dating a close friend of mine. We
ended up going to the same college and becoming super close.
My best friend and I have been through it all. I’ve already made him promise to be my man of honor when I get married, and we’re going to be those grumpy old people who have been friends for 50 years. I can’t wait!

I have friends, but I don’t really have best friends.
Welp.Time to dance to ward off death. (That might actually keep me from having any friends. XD)

I used to have a BFF since 3rd grade. Until she banged and procreated with my bro in the shadiest way at that. Soooooo not anymore!
But my boyfriend is becoming my BFF. I want to share it all with him and it’s nice. =)

My best friend and I met in 5th grade… she tried showing me some origami trick and I thought she was a weirdo.
Flash forward a month later, and I ended up transferring to the same school as her. We’ve been inseparable ever since!

Yes! I love and admire her so much! She’s gay, strong, stubborn, and so funny. She’s getting her doctorate in applied mathematics right now. I’m pretty sure we text each other every day in addition to conversation we have on facebook.
We met in college. I was an RA and it was her first year.
We did hit a snag about 2 or 3 years ago. It was almost right after I had graduated and she had a crush on one of mutual friend’s girlfriend. I advised against it, but they became involved, and I just had this feeling like she was going to get hurt and used…I told her about it, and I told her I didn’t think it was right.
We didn’t talk for a year, but eventually, after the relationship sizzled, she started talking again and we (awkwardly) kind of picked back up where we left off. I visit her regularly, and in about two weeks, I’m going up to her place so we can go see two of our favorite bands in two separate concerts.
I can honestly say when we weren’t talking, I didn’t think we’d ever get our friendship back, but I depend on her so much right now. She is one of (if not THE) best friends I have ever had. I am so lucky to know her.

Yes. I met her one year ago, because she and her husband moved into my building. I knew her husband in high school (well, sort of. He was a few years ahead of me) and her in-laws were my neighbors. Before she moved here, her MIL was always telling me, “You and Becky seem to have so much in common. I bet you two will really hit it off.” And we did.
