I’m in the process of planning for my wedding, and the next big thing to think about is my wedding ring. My fiance got me the most beautiful 1/2 carat diamond solitaire two years ago when he proposed, and I want an absolutely beautiful wedding band to showcase it. I honestly don’t know exactly what I want, and it doesn’t help that I am very indecisive.
Here is my engagement ring.
Which of these do you think would look best with my engagement ring?
- Option 1: A plain white gold wedding band
- Option 2: A diamond anniversary band
- Option 3: A sapphire wedding band
- Option 4: A diamond and sapphire wedding band
I think I like the diamond anniversary band. If you haven’t decided yet, maybe you should know that we are getting married in September (the sapphire month).
So, which one do you like best?

go with the 4th one.

I personally will need one of those two sided bands because I’m a freak about things being even .. like this… http://pics.boards.weddingbee.com/30154.1669277-s7.jpg… but go with the one that you love!!! pick two, throw one away, add anoher, throw one away, see what you have left.

I think it’s a cute idea to have the sapphire for your wedding month, but I’d go with the diamond anniversary band. It’ll look really pretty with your engagement ring. Congratulations!

Congratulations! =)
I personally like 1 or 2 best. But you should go with whichever one pops out to you the most. Or ask the fiancé!
Best wishes!

If I knew your personality a little more I’d be able to say which suited YOU best and not just what goes best with your ring. But as far as my own taste goes from the options here I love the second or the fourth, I can’t decide they’re both gorgeous!!

@crazypassions@xanga - Ouu that would work so nicely with the ring she has. I can relate to liking things being even like that!

Congrats. I love the first the best. and the first two more than the sapphire. Although sapphire is on the rise in popularity… which ever makes you the happiest
What does he want to see you wear?

Thanks everyone! I’m really leaning toward the diamond anniversary band. My fiance just wants me to get what will make me happy and what I will want to wear forever. What a sweet guy!

my ring is similar to yours but i have a plain engagement band. for two reasons 1) i have freakishly small fingers and anything else would have looked weird–the engagement diamond was the perfect size but hte extra diamonds didnt work. 2) also due to my freakishly small fingers (size 4 and i’m 28) things with extra weight always fall to one side…so my simple white gold band holds it all together. you might also want to look into palladium (gold/platnum mix) because the price of gold is so high

I like the sapphire rings

Personally, I like the second one and the fourth one. I really think the fourth one with your engagement ring will look real nice. Congratulations by the way
so exciting.

I like the fourth one!
Since your ring is simple, having a pop of color makes it look even more pretty and the fourth one has diamonds and sapphire. both worlds!

The sapphires are really pretty! I like the fourth one. But be careful of any bands that are open on the inside – the holes – because I had a ring with those and when my fingers swelled up from heat or sodium or whatever, the holes rubbed badly on my fingers and tore the skin and that sort of thing. Not good
So try to get a solid band on the inside if you can. Congrats!

I like options 1 and 2, for reasons of comfort considering this is a piece you will wear often. However, if you choose option 1, I would recommend to go with a thinner band, similar to the width of the engagement ring. When you have them both on, the thickness is kind of uncomfortable. If you go with style #2, maybe you can see if they have a sapphire option because I love the look of the stones, and the color is pretty. Plus #1 and #2 are much easier to get resized in the future than the eternity band rings. #3 and #4 are beautiful rings, but not super practical.

diamonds! seriously, that one is definitely the classiest.

I’m with you… diamond anniversary band. But, they are all beautiful!! Congrats on the engagement!!

The sapphire and diamond band is so beautiful. Of course I’ve always had a thing for sapphires and diamonds together, so that’s just me! Of course for a more “clean” look, the diamond band work probably be best. No matter which option you pick, it will be a beautiful combination!

2nd one. The sapphire takes away from the brilliance of the diamond.

2nd or 3rd

i like the 1st one. but it’s silver & would probably be mistaken as an ordinary ring..

The second one. I got the second one for myself when I got married in July =)

I hate to throw something else in there, but while you’re considering a sapphire/diamond combo, why not think about this sapphire/diamond guard/wrap style ring from Helzberg’s: http://www.helzberg.com/product/.08ct+tw+diamond+%26+sapphire+solitaire+ring+wrap+1616353.do?sortby=ourPicks
It’s BEAUTIFUL!!!

I like the all diamond one and the all sapphire ones. They are very nice
I don’t like the mix. I think it looks much prettier and more elegant when it is one color.

2nd or 3rd one

I like the solid one, with nothing to it. Simple.

@DubyaDC@xanga - wow that one is a pretty ring!
The diamond on my engagement ring is very small and simple, so I was thinking about getting a diamond band to add a little more to it.
I think you could go with a diamond band(just make sure they’re small diamonds) or the plain white gold one, because I think anything else would just take away from your engagement ring….except maybe what@DubyaDC@xanga posted. I think that would look very nice with yours as well. Plus it’s different if that’s something you’re looking for.

I like the simple plain wedding band.
