Although I’m not a fan of his music, I do think it’s very sweet that he does such nice things for his fans.

I think his mother’s instance on him only having good influances and to give back has paid off in a giving loving son.  I don’t love his music, its ok, but I like the person he is.

You can’t deny he has a great personality. I’m not a fan of his music but he’s obviously a really good guy.

Personally, I don’t like his music. But I think overall he is a good kid. 

Honestly…the only reason he did this was for publicity. You do know that Make A Wish Foundation was created to give dying children a special ‘wish’ so to speak. They can go to DisneyWorld or meet their favorite idol etc etc. I am not sure if this part of the Make A Wish Foundation or not..but the only reason Bieber or any star does something like this is for good publicity. Like “Aww look how nice they are! Playing with a dying child!” Please. What about the thousands of other small children who aren’t dying & want to meet their idol? Oh right, if they somehow managed to bump into them or get to a concert etc etc they may very well do that, but it just doesn’t garner the good hearted publicity – one gets when making a special trip to greet & hang out with someone dying. 

Don’t get me wrong, I am glad this little girl is getting her wish made & my prayers are with her, but in all respect..the post is about Bieber doing something “wonderful & sweet.” He’s doing it for the publicity. Good publicity – he goes & makes a little girls dream come true. Bad publicity - he denies going & is denounced as some awful souless bastard.   All I am saying..is what he’s doing..should be done because he WANTS to. I always get the feeling these types of situations for stars..they do it only for a good publicity ratings. Then again, this is just my opinion & maybe the Biebs really is enjoying it.  

This is why I don’t rag on Beiber. I don’t like his music, not one bit. And I realize he isn’t very masculine (but I think that is a very dumb reason to dislike someone). But he is a good kid. He cares about people. He isn’t out partying and becoming a drug addict, he is making a little terminally-ill girl happy for a day. So I never joined a Beiber hate train.

people are going to say this is all for publicity but my manager at work’s sister is the head of some medical department in …. california i think and she said he came and hung out on the children’s ward for a whole day once with no media there to know about it.  i think he’s just a sweet kid.  dislike the tunes though, but i have respect for him.

WaitingToShrug@xanga  In my personal opinion it does. It’s a ‘good deed’ done out of a crap publicity stunt. If this little girl wasn’t dying, Beiber wouldn’t have given her the time of day. I feel like it smears the good deed a lot, to do something like this & have everyone commend him for visiting & spending time with an ailing child; when the reality is..it’s just good PR. He’s essentially using a sick child for good publicity. At least that’s what it always looks like to me when I see some super star snuggling & a dying child. It’s hard to take the actions sincerely when..lets face it, they’re a mega star & super busy..& probably couldn’t or wouldn’t be able to take time off to go spend a few hours with a sick kids or any kid. Yet here they are – all smiles for plenty of photo ops. I would feel more sincere about Beiber & other stars who do this..if so many photos & TV news stations didn’t jump all over it & broadcast it. If he’s being genuine it’s no one elses business that he spent time because he really wanted to with a dying child to make her/his dream come true.

I don’t like his music, but he does seem like a really good person and he does have singing talent, so I’m not sure why everyone dislikes him so much.

I don’t know why he did it, or anything, but that little girl looks so happy it makes me want to cry. It was a good thing, regardless of whether it was for publicity or not.
