When I was a kid, I loved buying celebrity magazines like Teen Beat, Tiger Beat and BOP Magazine.  My friends would tear open the magazines to pull out the the poster-sized centerfolds of teen celebs, and plaster them all over their bedroom walls..


I asked some of my girlfriends who their celebrity crushes were growing up in the ’80s, and most of us held undying flames for the same celebs:

  • Christian Slater – He was so cool in Heathers and Pump Up the Volume! (Image)
  • Joey from New Kids On The Block – The baby of the group. (Image)
  • Jordan from New Kids On The Block – The lead singer of the group. (Image)
  • Jonathan Brandis – From Seaquest. He tragically killed himself when he was 27. (Image)
  • Edward Furlong – Yes his voice was girly, but he was HOT in Terminator 2! (Image)



  • Leonardo DiCaprio – He’s an international superstar now, but he was at the top of his game when he was on Growing Pains! (Image)
  • Kirk Cameron – Another Growing Pains alum. Kirk Cameron was so cute! (Image)
  • Johnny Depp – Who didn’t (and who doesn’t til this day) have a crush on Johnny?! (Image)
  • Luke Perry – The Beverly Hills 90210 bad boy. (Image)
  • Jason Priestley – The Beverly Hills 90210 good boy. (Image)
  • Ethan Hawke – He used to be so hot. What happened to him? (Image)
