I was double-process blonde for almost five years. That means the sort of blonde that Jessica Simpson has, allover but still dimensional. When I finally let it all grow out, I started getting compliments left and right about how nice my natural color was. Now I’m getting encouragements to go red. All those things aside, Josh Schwartz just said in a recent interview that Leighton Meester made the blonde-to-brunette jump for her role as Blair in Gossip Girl during their pilot season [via JustJared], and it’s proven to be an extremely profitable decision for her. What other stars are better not-blonde?
Some of these celebs have gone back and forth between hair colors many times, either for roles or the change of the seasons. Regardless some leading ladies are just more memorable with stand-out hair colors. These stars are just some examples of those whose non-blonde made them more iconic.
Are there any stars who went away from blonde who you think shouldn’t have? What stars looked better dark?

I think most of the ladies you mentioned look better with darker hair. Especially Leighton Meester, dark hair looks so pretty on her. The blonde does not showcase her facial features at all. Rachel McAdams, after having seen her with a wide range of hair colors, most of which actually suited her, I like strawberry blonde or auburn (like the color her hair was in The Notebook) best on her. I guess the only one noted above who looked best with blonde would be Ashley Tisdale, I thought blonde suited her. Had no idea Sofia Vergara is a natural blonde, though!

Emma Stone is so gorgeous! I really love her eyes and lips. Anyway, I think all of them look good non-blonde especially Emma. She looks like she should have been a red-head. Seriously, and the only person that looks OK blonde here is Victoria Beckham.
