While the release of Jason Wu for Target didn’t crash any websites (a la Missoni), there has still been some craziness surrounding its release. Check out a video of two people buying an entire store’s worth of Wu after the cut!
Understandably irate customers look on as a man and woman nab every item of clothing, all while smiling at the checkout. Apparently Target was to have a “two pieces per customer” limit, but that didn’t seem to apply here. Maybe no one told these two that the Missoni line wound up on clearance racks? [via Styleite]
The greed in this video makes my skin crawl, especially since you can hear how disappointed other shoppers are. While I’m sure the hubbub will die down and they’ll be able to get some pieces eventually, this is still just depressing to watch.
What do you think of the video? Did you pick up any Jason Wu goodies?

On one hand, hey, smart move on their part. They know the demand and are getting their hands on the supply.
On another hand, I went to three different targets yesterday trying to get that damn navy blue dress and got nothing. These people are assholes.

Those people are assholes. Definitely not buying any of the Jason Wu collection online. -_-

I’m not in the market for any Jason Wu pieces of clothing, but I would be pretty mad witnessing 2 people clearing out the shelf of something (anything, toothpaste, detergent, etc) I was going to just buy one of.

that’s so obnoxious of them.

I’m not saying they are right, but we watch a certain show called “Extreme Couponing”. People everywhere love the idea of getting an excessively gross amount of anything for cheap/free. They clean out shelves of necessities and you don’t hear anyone grumbling about it, with the exception of the store owners. These people are becoming idols for moms and families everywhere because they can clean out shelves. But these same people get upset when a couple clears out an uneeded clothing line, to make a profit. I’m sure Target loves these people. Because even if they lose the customers that only buy 1 or 2 pieces, they will always have these people to buy everything else from them. Just a hypocritical society we live in is all.

@vivalafangirl@xanga - have you tried target.com? or, are you like me and prefer to try it on?

@BayCat - I absolutely have to try something on before I buy it. also, I heard about some of the Jason Wu stuff selling out online as well, so I just haven’t even bothered checking the Target website.

@vivalafangirl@xanga - You should definitely try them on before buying, I found that they ran a bit big. Hope the stores restock soon! I also want to see that navy blue dress.
