It’s Monday morning and here at Lovelyish HQ, we are sipping on some instant Starbucks Via. We had to switch to instant even though the cafe experience is so much better, since one day we added up our coffee bill and it came out to $80 a month! $4 lattes can really add up if you drink them every day!
Now with instant coffee, we’ve got that bill down to $20-something a month. Still seems like a lot though. The monthly cost of coffee can quickly spiral out of control if you drink it every day.
What’s your monthly coffee bill?

Oh! I probably spent that much on coffee per week!

Zero! I start every morning with a glass of orange juice sans pulp.

Not quite $80 but around there… I am a hardcore coffee connoisseur! I buy my Cafe Verona bag lasts me two weeks at about $10 x 2 also, I buy maxwell house instant coffee 1 cup (stash in my purse/desk
) Nestle Nescafe Instant coffee, and I also buy several times a week Tim Hortons large triple triple! xD

I didn’t realise people actually bought Starbucks every day :-/

I know.
I tried out the apple cider with caramel with whipped cream on top.and once I had one venti a day (at 4.15$ with tax in) and then the next day, I really crave for another one and it doesn’t seem to stop craving for it. i realized that I keep wanting drinking one everyday.
i had to force myself to stop buying it. it was getting crazy. the money is so much!

Very little actually. They brew fresh coffee at work every morning. And my mother-in-law gives me packages of Gevalia coffee (I like Light Roast, French Vanilla and Hazelnut flavors), 2 packages every few months. If I buy it on my own, I’d probably get some Folgers Breakfast Blend or other national store brand available at the market or Target/Walmart. I’m the only one who drinks coffee in my household, and I drink 1 cup a day normally, max 2. Occasionally (maybe once a month) I will visit Starbucks and even then I seem to always have a gift card for Starbucks.

Maybe $30-40 for me. I get it twice a week at school and it’s $3 dollars per large cup of coffee.
I’d never give up my coffee though.

I used to be addicted to those fancy mochas and lattes or whatever, but now I switched to just drinking black coffee or espresso…much better on my wallet and my weight
! We also have an espresso machine at home that we got it as a wedding gift, so that saves us a lot of money, too.

I just wake up a few minutes earlier and make my own delicious coffee… I couldn’t imagine shelling money out every morning for Starbucks o_O

My $6 instant coffee is lasting me the whole year.. Starbucks is such a treat for me nowadays.

Make your own coffee and you pay about $10 a month, tops. (Buy an espresso machine and make the fancy drinks for about the same price.)

Mine is probably around $40? That’s a lot of of 50 cent-cups of coffee.

I LOVE Starbucks coffee but it’s too expensive for me to get it more than a few times a month. I have an espresso maker at home with a milk steamer/foamer. I buy starbucks espresso at the store (for about $8-10) along with other coffee accesories like sauces and syrups. I can make all my drinks at home for much cheaper! Plus I love to cook so its fun to learn to make new drinks. AND you can cash in those empties bags for a free tall coffee.
I recomend this to everyone who loves coffee as much as I do & isn’t wealthy enough to buy Starbusks all the time!

My company provides our coffee for us free of charge, so I only pay on the weekends (if I drink). It’s like….maybe $10 a month for me?

I used to drink starbucks every morning during my summer quarter of college, it drained a lot og money

Haha why instant!? Just switch to Dunkin Donuts or get real coffee instead of a latte! I know a coffee’s 2.02 at Dunkins and a Latte is more like 2.50. You save some change and it tastes almost the same.

Also for those interested my dad worked out that a cup of Folgers is 10 cents, and a cup of Keurig is 74 cents! WOW

I use swagbucks as my search engine (gratuitous plug http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/mrsknapp) and I get Starbucks gift cards with my earnings. I never pay for a drink at Starbucks with “real” money. I even buy packs of Iced Caramel Via for a treat!

if you count coffee drinks AND engergy drinks… my god… I just calculated it:
130ish i’ve gottn it down this month to my goal being 110$
my boyfriend spends about as much + he smokes 1.5 packs a day. No wonder we are always broke
guest
80 bucks a month? Fuck that. I just brew my own coffee like normal people on a budget.

I love Starbucks but I can’t afford it. The last time I brought it was when I had a 15 dollars gift card. Other than that I don’t step foot into that place.
My place of choice is
Dunkin Donuts because they have one right on campus. Thats for those days when I don’t finish class till 5pm and I’ve been up since 6am.
Since I stay at home my mom and I go halfsies on coffee. We brew it at home and it last for a pretty long time.
A one pound bag is about 10 bucks. Plus creamer makes that around 14 bucks with tax

This is precisely why I don’t have daily habits!

$0! I start every day with a green smoothie. Coffee isn’t something that tastes good to me.
