I’m not sure of the first whole album I bought, but the first piece of music I ever bought, period? “Smile” by Scarface featuring Tupac.

I’m actually supposed to remember? I can barely remember what I bought last month. I’d assume probably something French (through school) or like, Britney Spears. 

I used to buy cassette tape singles during the 90′s rather than the entire album. I’m not entirely sure of the first cassette I bought but it was probably paula abdul’s song called “rush rush.” I don’t think I even understood what the song meant since I was a kid. I probably just liked the “ohh na na na…” lyrics

My first cassette tape was the backstreet boys.

i think it was the cassette of hanson’s first album, or nsync’s first album, or the sabrina the teenage witch soundtrack.  great stuff.  but the latter was how i discovered ben folds, so i guess it was good.
