I have an old pleather clutch I thrifted awhile back that I was going to throw out, but then I came across Geri from Because I’m Addicted‘s post on how to DIY your own lace clutch. I love no-sew projects and this one looks super easy!
All you need are:
-neon (or non-neon) lace fabric (Geri used an old lace tank top)
-Old clutch or makeup bag
-Scissors
-Fabric glue
-Needle and thread
To see the steps check out Geri’s post. So simple!
Lovelies, what do you think of the neon and bright colors trend for Spring 2012? Are any of you Lovelies big DIYers?

I had no idea you could wrap lacey material around a clutch to make it a lacey clutch.

I can’t be doing with purses or bags without straps, haha. I need to have a strap so I don’t have to worry about putting it down somewhere and forgetting about it.

It’s a cute idea, but I would be afraid I’d get tipsy and leave my purse some place because it wasn’t hanging off of me in some way (shoulder or wrist). Also, I would think that clutch is a little too big for me, almost impractical because there is no strap or handle.

That’s a great idea except I’m not a clutch type of girl.

Ohhhhh, I am totally going to go home and do this tonight. Not even joking! Neon + lace = awesome.
