She is a successful actress, comedian, writer, AND producer. She is seemingly successful in every role she assumes. Whether it be parodying Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin on SNL or writing a New York Times 5-week best-selling autobiographical book Bossy Pants, she is always on her game. Her writing is witty, clever and clear. She has the impeccable ability to pinpoint other’s personalities and portray those personalities in a variety of characters (Mean Girls, Sarah Palin, and even herself on 30 Rock). Her smart humor nearly brings me to tears every week. Her success through writing and parody is a huge success for women in showbiz, and those who wish to go into that field. Her impact on culture and entertainment is undeniably enormous — she has opened commercial comedy to women!
After Graduating from the University of Virginia with a BA in Drama (yes, a liberal arts degree!), Fey dove into the world of improv citing that: “improv had the biggest impact on my acting”. Her experience within improvisation, lead her to SNL in 1997. She sent several scripts to the sketch show, and quickly after she was hired as a head writer. Fey told The New Yorker, “I’d had my eye on the show forever, the way other kids have their eye on Derek Jeter.” Throughout her 9 years on SNL, Fey developed many characters, each funnier than the last. She turned her experiences at SNL into the situation TV comedy 30 Rock.
Tina Fey has been recognized publicly for her comedic ability, receiving seven Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, four Writers Guild of America Awards and a nomination for a Grammy Award for her book Bossypants. In 2010, Fey also became the youngest reciepent of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. What an honor! In addition to her contribution to comedy, Fey is also involved with various charities. Most notably, she is a supporter of Autism Speaks, Mercy Corps and Love Our Children. Fey has participated in comedy shows to raise money for these charities, using her gift of humor to help others in need.
It is almost impossible for me to sum up such a fulfilling career. Basically, I love everything she does. A lot of times when I am watching her on Thursday evening prime time I exclaim: “How?! How is this so funny!?” And the answer lies within her quick wit and amazing ability to satirize… pretty much everything. In addition, I personally think she is one of the most beautiful woman on television. She can look hot in glasses and flannel playing the undesirable character of Liz Lemon, as well as on the red carpet. She is an incredible inspiration to me. I have a girl crush not only on her looks, but on her overall persona.
Lovelies, what do you think of Tina Fey? Do you have a favorite sketch/character she has developed?

Aww, yeah, I love Tina Fey! Haha, I loved it when she said at the Golden Globe Awards this year “And I’m nothing like Liz Lemon… I just can’t think of any differences right now” xD

Wait a second, you can get a job in television with a theatre degree? Why didn’t anyone tell me this before! I’ve got to move to New York, and now!
