I’ve been telling my mother — who is only in her 50s — that she should keep her brain sharp with some of the memory games for Nintendo DS, and Kit Connell, a centenarian from the UK, has sold my point.
Kickin’ butt and takin’ names, the grandmother of one says she doesn’t feel a day over 80, thanks to the Nintendo DS helping her to keep her wits about her and her memory sharp. Playing BrainAge, she finds her mind is as fit as a 64-year-old’s. I’m a DS gamer myself, and it looks like I’ve got a long road of mental health ahead of me for it… right? [via theSun]
Are you a gamer? How adorable is she?

Omg she’s adorable! And man, you can absolutely tell her mind is all there. That’s awesome. I might have to make this investment when I get older.

I havent played in a while but I’m getting a DSiXL from my boyfriend in February. Scientists proved years ago that video games help with hand eye coordination & memory. It’s great to see an adult talking about it.

She seems great for 100 (: I’m gonna make time to do brain exercises like her when I get old, haha.

I love the fact that she has a photo of our Queen in the background. She obviously has a great grasp on both tradition and keeping up with the world today!
