I’m not the first to notice that all child stars manage to grow up hot. There must be some Hollywood checklist for child stars regarding their dimensions, their facial features etc. And granted, they wouldn’t be child stars if they weren’t easy on the eyes, but most of them grow up to be absolute bombshells
For example, Alyssa Milano.
Guess who this young beauty is, if you guessed… Spoiler alert: Eliza Dushku, then you’re right. We’ve seen her looking smoking hot in plenty of movies and shows, and here she is all grown up..
I want to know what sort of genetic screening these young girls have to endure to ensure they grow up to be hot babes like Eliza or Alyssa. Whatever the test is, it never seems to fail.
Remember how much you loved the movie, Mean Girls, well this is Lacy Nicole Chabert originally from Party of Five. Well surprise, surprise, she grew up to be hot as hell, and here she is in all her womanly glory, in Maxim magazine.
Something looks different…
Does this young lady look familiar?
How bout now? You guessed it. Mila Kunis all grown up.
Who are we missing on this list of child star hotness? Check out the Gallery for more.

While I do agree that many of these kids were cute, and are definitely attractive as adults, being child stars they grew up on diets, workout regimens, makeup artists, hairstylists and in some cases, plastic surgery.
Yes, they are “hot”, but they literally have all the help they can get.

Or maybe it’s like… all the photoshop, pressure to be perfect and make up.

Neville Longbottom as a kid = LOL
Neville now = wow, have my babies.

I was going to say the same thing @TropicalOceanSunset@xanga - these kids grow up with hoards of people making sure they become “hot”. Otherwise their careers would tank.

@PsychedelicaMF@xanga - I’m with ya on that one.

Well, the cute Hollywood kids that grow up to not be “hot” don’t become stars. So, I’m sure there’s a much longer list of cute kid stars that grew up to not be so cute.

Are you kidding me? This is Hollywood. These child stars have a lot of money at their disposal so a lot of them have had some surgical help.

@TropicalOceanSunset@xanga - agreed

Correction: Eliza Dushku, not Elisha. The only child star named Elisha I can think of is Elisha Cuthbert. And she is quite the beautiful Canadian. Popular Mechanics for Kids, anyone?

Lindsay Lohan got hot? Lolololololol

It’s REALLY easy to “grow up hot” when you have the “natural” advantages of makeup, workout regimes since you’re a kid, stylists, Photoshop, etc since you’re young. Many of these… are not hot, they just look good in good lighting/makeup/Photoshop.
guest
ARE YOU JOKING? So many more than this grow up hideous and their careers go to hell.
guest
I’ve come to the conclusion that eyeliner is what made these child actors hot. Yeah, that’s what I am going to go with.
guest
Hilary Duff is undoubtedly my favourite.
As for the actual point of this post… I don’t think anyone in Hollywood is “genetically destined for hotness”. You can do and be anything if you have money behind you, not to mention a whole lot more than what hard work will get you. That’s what these people have – endless opportunities.
guest
I will have to agree with some previous comments. I think the majority of child stars actually grow up to look not so attractive. Examples: Jake Lloyd (star wars ep1), Haley Joel Osment (6th sense), macaulay culkin…

Surprised Emma Watson wasn’t on here.

….um, you DO know that they have a lot of makeup, Photoshop, and trainers to help with that, right?

@TheTheologiansCafe@xanga - But Danny has nice abs.

I’m sorry, was this supposed to be tongue-in-cheek?

You would look great the rest of your life too if you had professional stylists, nutritionists and personal trainers ensuring you make millions and look sexy doing it. The real question is how they look WITHOUT the dolled up faces. LOL. Most…not so hot.

You know, I’ve always wondered why child stars are constantly in the spotlight, and they all somehow grow up with straight perfect teeth even though we never see them with braces. Is there some kind of oral surgery that rich people can get instead of awaiting years of braces like normal, “poor”(I’m being facetious) people?
guest
Baby Eliza Dushku looks just like someone I know. It’s super weird.
@DrummingMediocrity@xanga - Most celebrities get veneers.
guest
I don’t think people just know which kids are going to become hot. Once they’re a child star, they’re in the business. So they get to know what the latest diet, workout, makeup, hairstyle etc is, so they kind of have it easier than the rest of us because they have professional help in becoming the babes they are today
guest
@the_peach_assailant@xanga - Do veneers really straighten your teeth though? I thought they just make them bigger.
guest
I think with money and stylists, most of us could be “hot”.
@DrummingMediocrity@xanga - LOL I remember reading somewhere that the Olsen twins had fake teeth when they lost their front teeth during the Full House filming, so maybe you’re on to something there…
guest
I have the tendency to believe that anyone with enough money can be considered “attractive.” All it takes is a little cash, baby. (;
guest
Not agreeing with all the comments on plastic surgery. You don’t have to spend tons of money to be beautiful. You could tell by Mila Kunis’ facial features as a girl that’d she’d likely be hot as an adult. I don’t find Eliza or Lacey Nicole Chalbert to be insanely attractive, their photos look nice, but they don’t make you go, DANG! Chances are, if we saw them walking on the street, we wouldn’t find them unattractive but we wouldn’t look twice. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that these stars work hard to stay in the industry. They have the habit of eating right, staying shape, take care of themselves, and constantly do their best to make sure opportunity meets preparation when it strikes. That is their job.

Makeup and Privilege and Exposure leads to Hotness…

@SherylM@xanga - He’s admitted to using COPIOUS amounts of steroids. You can get Al Roker ripped like that with the kind of stuff he was on.
guest
@mr_jin_tonic@xanga - I was being facetious.
guest
So am I the first to notice a lot of these child stars have struggled? Mary Kate Olsen and Christina Ricci had eating disorders, Britney, Christina and Hillary Duff have struggled with their weight and then there’s the train wreck Lindsay Lohan who has struggled with.. well.. everything..
They me be hot but more than half of them are also screwed up on some way or another…

Healthier children have braces, because that puts the jaw in alignment. Hollywood mothers don’t seem to care about that, mostly about getting good looks fast. Studies have been done ad nauseum about the success rates of people who have features that are proportionate, that is, everything on the face is in perfect alignment and size. Hence, you see some people like Catherine Zeta Jones, or, going back a couple of generations, Elizabeth Taylor. The distance between the nose and the ears, that kind of thing. Anybody can get a nose job, but it doesn’t guarantee the results that some were born with. I’m average looking, and satisfied with that. I do think that children with really difficult situations, like ears that poke way out of the hair, or other problems, should be given the benefit of plastic surgery, if they have exhibited signs of sadness over their appearance, and it’s not just a passing fancy. If it affects your self esteem to the point of your choice of career, or, even succeeding in college, give the kid a break, if you can. And everyone getting fat lips these days? Give me a break. I’d rather see a few middle age lines and a decent career, like Meryl Streep, that plumped up lips. Even Marie Osmond has sold out.

yea they become hot because of the way they have to live they have to grow up so young and then feel the need to become all sexual some stars can handle the limelight but others cant and it shows … like poor britney bless her she got a bit wild at one stage and think it cos she never had a normal child hood so she rebelled onces she hit a certain age luckily she s had 2 kids and not settled down with new boyfriend. but i wonder what star will be next like lindsay lohan has gone of the rails a lil lets hope she soon relis she dont need to be quite so dramatic and get back on the good root again as i love the films she does… but yea think some times some people can deal with stardom then others i guess it how they have be brought up by parents and manages but .. thats life and society for you …
guest
No.
The ones that maintained their hotness are the ones still visible today. Other child stars are invisible… they didn’t have that destiny.

@Garistotle@xanga - Yes, you cracked the code, lol. It’s so easy if you think about it. Any plans for tonight, I have a few things that puzzles me….?
