Lovelyish

I like this dress (though it seems to be kinda coming apart at the bottom?), just not on her, especially with the matching eyeshadow.

She is already pale and so this just makes her look paler. The idea is a hit, but the specific neutrals/colors that she chose is a miss.

Her heels blended in with the floor. I thought she was bare foot, and then I was all, WHERE ARE HER TOES? :O I think if the sleeves of the dress was in a darker neutral color, itd make her less pale.

I agree with the commenter above.  The idea in itself is simply wonderful and super flattering for her, but those colors are just atrocious.

It’s the hairstyle that killed it for me.  I could get over the fact that it looked like the world ran out of colors when she got dressed if she had done something more interesting with her hair.  Even if she just put her hair in a ponytail, it would look less like she was fading into a pool of orange and colorlessness.

at least it isn’t mustard yellow, which is beyond hideous.

The sleeves are GROSS… but if they weren’t there it would be CUTE.

I must be on an another worl because I think this is a hit. The eyeshadow is not pretty but the dress looks nice on her

I am also pale and certain colors flatter me better; none of those flatter me, and they don’t flatter her either.

I actually kind of like it.  Well, it’s not bad.

If that was without sleeves, I would like it more. 

I think it’s fine, but maybe if her hair was in an updo.

I think she looks fantastic. She’s pulling it off. It’s not the most lovely dress ever but she looks good, no complaints here.

stop complaining about women being pale! not everyone has to be tanned within an inch of their life.

p.s. the sleeves ruin the dress. other than that, it’d be nice.

I dislike the dress but I still can’t help but adore that girl! She’s so beautiful and spunky, I love it.

@corporatecrow@xanga - There was no “haterade” about being pale. I was simply mentioning that she is pale. It is true (at least in this picture).

@Ms_Lola_Mae@xanga - ok, sorry.  it seemed like by saying that she is already pale and this dress just makes her look paler, then calling it a miss because of the coloring, which would presumably be the reason the dress would make her look paler, you were saying that the dress is a miss because it makes her look paler.  i’ve just been noticing a lot of pale-slamming lately, and it drives me insane because it shouldn’t be socially acceptable to do so.  if i went up to someone and said, “wow, that dress makes you look way too dark,” people would understandably be offended.  so the opposite should not be okay either.  i’ll get off my soapbox now, sorry.

@corporatecrow@xanga - Yeah I mean I did mean that it was bad that the dress made her look paler, but in the same way that if someone had a warm skin tone and wore a certain color it would make their skin look too bright and blown out. I don’t think it is bad that she is pale, just that she wore something that over-accentuated that fact to the point of making her look a little washed out. I personally feel that if someone very dark were wearing a very dark color that made them look bad, then I would tell them (if they asked or were a friend). 

Honestly, if her hair was pulled back in a secretary like bun…

She would look so 60′s knockout!
