Funny, I was just about to take a cold shower myself.

I’m a 23-year-old woman, who is back to a Thursday night ritual of stuffing my face with sushi and watching the absolute sh*t out of this totally underrated show that I’ve been positively obsessed with since its debut. Forget the fact that every male character on the show is so hot I have to watch every episode in the nude while seated on a block of ice, the script happens to be absolutely fantastic.



Let us not forget Klaus, who is not only sexy but unbelievably talented… And sexy. Did I say sexy?

All the characters are just as emotionally delicious as they are physically, and they’re honestly engaging in every possible way, that is excluding that snooze-fest Elena. I’m sorry Elena fans, but she is just devoid of any redeeming qualities as a character. And yes, I know what you newcomers are thinking, it’s a show on the CW about vampires, how trite and boring could it get — and let me simply retort with a no. NO, I say! In fact, this show makes HBO’s True Blood look like one of your grandmothers midday television “stories.”


One of the things I love most about this show is that not one stone is left unturned, there is not one hole in the plot nor one question left unanswered about its darkly fantastical world and its functioning’s… Well that is aside from the very premise of it being based on supernatural impossibility, but forget all that. No seemingly nonsensical aspect of this show has been left unexplained, in fact once the answers are exposed, I almost feel stupid for not predicting the completely unpredictable on this CW show… What is happening? Who am I? What has become of me? One thing I know is I’ve been turned, that is turned on to this sexy thrill ride of a show.

The vicarious sexual tension I experience between the two of them is enough to last for a lifetime.

I settled into the couch, wearing my laundry day pajamas and a pair of Woolrich socks and I watched tonight’s episode with my equally obsessed dog, even if the dog sleeps through most of it. And let me tell you, after tonight’s midseason premiere, I felt like I was able to breathe for the first time in three years. To those of you who watch the show but are yet to see it, you’ll know exactly what I mean when I say this, so consider this a spoiler alert…
