Glee co-creater Ryan Murphy merged the stars of the musical show with the concepts of his near freak-out series, American Horror Story. The results rule and appear in Elle‘s February issue.
Carter Smith shot the whole nine-print series. Each shot pays tribute to horror film greats such as Creature from the Black Lagoon (above), The Birds, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman and more. [via Elle]
Genius, I say. The vintage femininity translates well to the fresh faces of TV today. Hit.
What do you think of this series? Do you like the idea of merging old and new, current and green projects?

I recognized one person from Glee. Either that’s really good makeup, or he used little known cast-members. Anyone else see anyone besides Jayma and Lea?

@MiaJoyTheWriter@xanga - Same.

I like the horror part but they ruined it by Glee.

love this post, it’s time for glee to get killed off so to speak, (as it rightfully should be)

I freakin’ hate Lea Michele with everything I am.

@MiaJoyTheWriter@xanga - 6th picture, the blonde looks like an angry and older Katee Sackhoff. But that’s BSG, not Glee
I have no idea who anyone else in these shots is. I assume they are not from Glee but from American Horror Story, since the Elle link says “he casts the stars of his current hits—dressed in the season’s retro-femininity—in his favorite nail-biters”
So it’s not actually Glee with an AHS twist, but the actors from the two shows emulating scenes or something from other movies.

Lea, Dianna, Jayma, Naya and Heather (so, the main Glee girls) are there, just pretty much unrecognizable. And since the others are Connie, Taissa, Sarah and Kate from American Horror Story, it’s really a merging of the two casts, not just Glee with AHS themes.
