Mr. Clark might’ve suffered a stroke in ’04, but he’s still the fixture of our New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Times Square ceremony, now in its 40th year. Ryan Seacrest has taken the torch to some degree, but Dick Clark, the man who always seemed not to age, is keeping the dream alive, this year with headliners like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj just to name a few.
The six-hour show will air tomorrow night (naturally) and will feature 29 musical acts and the man himself.
Let’s take a moment to look back on the dude’s timeless coolness. Happy New Year, Mr. Clark!

I stopped watching it because I watched him try to count down one year and he was off and it just looked really sad. I couldn’t help but feel like they need to let the poor guy retire. Half of his mouth didn’t move and it just looked really really sad.

Dick Clark is the ONLY reason I’ll watch the NYE special (I could do without the performers and other celebs)… I’ll be sad when Dick Clark dies or can’t attend the special anymore
