According to Fashionista, Kendall and Kylie Jenner recently named their two adorable puppies “Louis” and “Vuitton.”
I momentarily felt bad for the puppy named Vuitton — I mean, its name is Vuitton — but then I realized how absolutely hilarious and/or adorable it is to name your something that trendy and ridiculous. Celebrities are all about quirky names (I’m looking at you, Gwyneth Paltrow and Apple) and Kendall and Kylie’s pet names got us here at Lovelyish thinking about other celebrity pet names.
Check out the gallery for some adorable pet names!
Does your four-legged friend have a quirky name?

My dogs are Pocket and Riley, and I have four rats named Tokyo, Casper, Kaiden, and Sargent. I get a lot of compliments on my weird pet names.

I dont know if it’s quirky but my kitten is named Josie Thomasina. Josie from Josie & the Pussycats & Thomasina comes from “The Three Lives of Thomasina”, which is a very old but classic Disney movie!

While I agree that it’s pretty hilarious that they named their dogs something so trendy, I also think the names are really tacky. I named my boyfriend’s dogs (my stepchildren, haha) Trixie and Speed Racer, Speed for short.

I have two cats named Whitey and Nala. Not exactly quirky. Anyway, one’s called Whitey ‘cuz, well, he used to be white when he was a kitten and darkened in color over time so the name just stuck. As for Nala, she was named after one of the characters in Disney’s The Lion King.

My cat’s name is Lulaby (purposely spelled with only 1 ” l “) because she purred so loud and often as a kitten. It was so adorable! I like quirky-cute names for pets

I only see the pictures and not the names? what am I doing wrong?
My dog is named Sandy because she’s kind of sandy in color and she gets really hyper when she plays in the sand haha, its cute. I had a guinea pig named Suki, I have no idea why I named her that, I was like 8 but I like it!

My hedgehog is Beanie.

My last cat was called Princess Tippytoes the Diva. We called her Tippy for short. She would walk around on her tiptoes, bite my ankles and generally act like a snob so the name was in mockery!

Our kitty’s name is Masha. My bf and I got the name off of a nature documentary about bear cubs in Belarus. We’re nerds
I have a list of weird names I’ve given previous cats: Metal, Cornball, Grey Poupon, Zulu, Lemon Yellow, Mr. Wiggins. Those were my favorites. My bf used to have a cat named Shitfoot McGee because she would walk in her poo when she was a baby just learning to use the litter box. It’s kind of gross but I thought it was cute. She got a nicer name later on but Shitfoot McGee sort of stuck too.

My cat’s name is Kit but I call her Kit Kat or Kitty Kat. I also had a mouse named Barnaby.

My dog’s name is Lacey Jay. I named her that when I was eight. I like really classy names for animals. Like I really want to get a Siberian husky and name him Sebastian.

i have a kitty named Persephone (which actually means ‘bringer of destruction’, and thats pretty accurate for her) and a Boxer/Beagle/Lab/Shepherd puppy named Tonka (like as in Tonka Truck, thanks mostly to our son)

If I had a cat, I’d name it Glub Glub

People tell me I name my pets weird. I have 3 dogs, Rumer (mastiff-meaning ”wanderer”) Kiah (doberman-meaning “from a beautiful place” and Suki (pitbull – meaning “Beloved”). Our cats name is Rowan (“little one”) and our ferret is Zoey (“full of life”). Yes, I have a zoo in the making! I tried my best to give them names with a meaning.

If I had a cat, I’d call it Simba. No questions asked.

I have two kitties, both girls – Kirara and Kagome (from Inuyasha). I originally named Kagome “Sango,” but the more I got to know her personality, the more she turned into Kagome. Thus the name change. My brother’s fiance calls them Ki-ki and Ko-ko.

None of the pictures include captions with the name of the pets. Kinda ruins the point of this post…
My dog’s name is Jasper. My parents and I liked it for different reasons (Dad: Jasper Engines, Mom: Jasper Jax from General Hospital, Me: Jasper Hale from Twilight).
Had Cinnimon and Sugar (brown and white rabbit), Kodiak and Snowflake (American Eskimo Dogs), and Hershey (Golden Retriever…makes no sense). Oh and Pauly for the bird, super original I know.

I currently have Harley (a dapple dachshund; we moved & my mom told my dad he could have a Harley if he moved…sooo, he got one. ha) & Hannah (a shit-zu, that I was determined my grandma was NOT naming Sophia..I won).
Over the years, I’ve had (stay with me here)::
Cotton ( a white retriever)
Simba (…dog, name origin is obvious.)
Cocoa ( a black dog that my grandparents had that I got to name)
Baby ( a miniature pincher)
Kimberly (a donkey, named after the pink power ranger)
Midnight (black cat)
Butterscotch (white cat with a gold-butterscotch color patch)
Charlie (white parakeet with blue spot on stomach)
Pikachu (^^^ see above description of bird.)
Corona (an African panda bear hamster; who was an escape artist)
That’s all I can remember right now. We lived in the country and I acquired most of these animals through people just tossing these poor babies away. (obviously not the birds and hamster.)
I was never a very creative person with names: but I definitely will be with my future animals

my brother named our pitbull king at first we thought because he was a pitbull and they have a bad rap because of humans mistreating them so we decided we should treat him like a king and he rules his “kingdom” which is our house so we came up with that name and now that damn dog lives up to his name.. he does what he wants whenever wherever.. he’s one spoiled ass pitbull i tell ya that much

I have three dogs, Sherlock, Missie, and Taquito. We named Sherlock that because then when we walk him we can say “No sh*t, Sherlock”. Haha, that’s not why, but it’s funny.

This is my Keeshond puppy named Ruby, which isn’t that quirky of a name I guess, but I like it:

She looks kind of derpy in this picture but she’s so sweet and so much fun to have around.

I have a blue fish called Piccolo (name origin from dragon ball z) but everyone calls him Pickles. Also, I once had a budgie named Snow White (obvious reference) but my mother called her Snowy because her snow-flake feathers would “snow” all over the house. So basically, I tried the quirky pet name thing but it always goes back to a simplified version. Hmm.
