In the latest sleazy politician news, Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) talks smack about Michelle Obama's body. The First Lady is a huge activist for healthy eating and physical fitness, traveling the country for her Let's Move! campaign, promoting the new food pyramid, getting stores to stock healthier foods, and more. But Sensenbrenner was recently overheard as he talked on the phone, saying, "She lectures us on healthy eating while she has a large posterior herself."

Um, excuse me?

Sensenbrenner has since sent her an apology, but apparently he's not the first to make such a comment. In February, Rush Limbaugh said:

"The problem is, and dare I say this, it doesn't look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary, dietary advice...I'm trying to say that our First Lady does not project the image of women that you might see on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue or of a woman Alex Rodriguez might date every six months or what have you

Sure, she hits up Shake Shack every now and then, but don't we all? The occasional high-calorie meal doesn't mean that she's hypocritical in telling people to eat healthily. I mean, hello, have you looked at her arms?

For a 47-year-old, I'd say she looks pretty darn good.

This is just a childish tactic on behalf of the conservatives to smear the First Lady's image and lower her approval ratings, but still. A woman does not have to be a swimsuit model lookalike to be considered healthy or attractive.
