Everyone knows she’s had throat issues for a while. It’s ridiculous to think that she’d be canceling her tour just to get weight loss surgery.

why lovelyish continues to link to collegecandy is just beyond me. we’re doing bad all by ourselves with some of these semi-coherent/nonsensical posts; why outsource?

@beca - thanks for the link, i must’ve missed it. upon reading it, i suppose i understand (although, i still think you guys should consider community building with a site that’s less… dumb).

i really do think the balance of stupid : not-stupid posts on lovelyish is pretty good compared to some of the other -ish sites, so i’ll try and keep my generalised snark to myself in the future.

I agree with the first post. I’d like to see college candy have throat surgery and be able to eat normally. :/

lol.  I don’t know why I clicked the link expecting to read she lost a massive amount of weight.  I am so naive.

College Candy posts are the stupidest. I hope you guys can find better contributors in the new year. Also: Adele lost weight because: a) recovering from surgery takes a toll on your body = more energy and resources used up = weight loss; and b) she probably couldn’t eat too well for weeks after the surgery = more weightloss.

Wow this post is very offensive. My mother had throat surgery and she was considered malnourished because she couldn’t eat because of the pain. Think a bit more about things and not just decide on your first assumption.

Nor only is @lisslackadaisical@xanga right, but any kind of surgery will cause you to drop pounds. I couldn’t eat a thing after my hernia surgery

I imagine she simply lost weight from a reduced diet due to surgery, and probably stress as well.

with throat surgery you can’t eat much… hence obvious weight loss.
