It’s easy to forget that Johnny Depp dated Kate Moss, Ellen Barkin or Jennifer Grey. Going through the Tumblr is addicting because I never realized how much I forgot. Remember when Liv Tyler and Joaquin Phoenix dated? You know, before she settled in Brooklyn with her son and he kind of went off the deep end? Or that Brandy and Kobe Bryant had a thing? I don’t think I even realized Salma Hayek dated Ed Norton, ever.
The black-and-white classic photos usually come with some details on the stories that surrounded the couple in their time. Like how Sammy Davis, Jr. had to break it off with Alfred Hitchcock star Kim Novak because the studio didn’t want her to be part of an interracial couple. These photos and their fodder make Old Loves a fascinating read!
Also, the fashions! Seeing Paula Abdul and John Stamos rock some early ’90s hair together makes me giggle. There’s also a lot of, um, altered faces that brings another level to these photos. Desperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan was in a lot of high-profile romances in the ’80s and ’90s, and I can’t help but notice she looks a bit different nowadays!
