The holidays are a time of giving and creating. Here’s a fun, easy, cheap way to make your presents stand out a little more.
YOU’LL NEED: Magazine page, ruler, glue stick, stapler, and scissors.
Choose your page.
Cut nine strips 3/4-inch wide. Then, cut three strips half its length, three strips cut off 1 inch, two strips cut off 2 inches and with the last strip, cut to 3 1/2 inches.
Loop the strip. Start off like this. When looping, make the strip long and thin rather than fat and wide. Adjust the loop as you desire and staple loops together
Time to assemble the bow!
Place the longest strips together and glue.
Same with the second layer.
And then the same for the third layer.
Your final product!
This is what they sell at the store in bags and you can make them at home for a few pennies. Each bow you make has its own personal touch of your very own. The good thing is that you don’t only have to use it for the holidays.
How do you wrap your presents to stand out? Would you try these bows?

I find it funny that it’s a vodka ad.

Oh how neat! I’ve always wondered how these bows were made!
Thank you so much for this tutorial!

I just use the stick-on bows that come in a bag. Personally, I like the presents to be nice and neat, not too much adornment. I don’t have to patience to make the bows, nor do I want to spend a lot of money to deck out the gifts because I consider the wrapping and bows in my holiday budget. I much rather have a couple more bucks to spend on the actual gift and skimp on the wrapping. We like to buy large economy rolls, especially the double sided ones, saves a lot of room to store them. We save the remaining paper and bows for next year until it’s all used up.
