Twinkle, twinkle, the light-string-hanging, tree-trimming days are upon us. This week your Friday Party Dresses are all about sequins. Celebs love ‘em. We love ‘em. This isn’t the first or likely the last time we’ll talk exclusively about the festive little shiny scales, but someone’s got to outshine the chandelier at this weekend’s parties, and it might as well be you.
ASOS Sequin Front Cut Out Side Dress, $54.54 from Asos
Slinky, black, and form-fitting, a dress like this one from Asos mimics leather from far off but catches the light oh-so-gracefully. You’d have the best LBD in the room… especially for those oopsy wine spills.
One Shoulder Sequin Dresses by Ark & Co, $65.00 from eDressMe
You’re either on board for the one-shoulder or not, but this one is super flattering. The allover pattern makes me think cruise ship in the ’80s gone right. N’est-ce pas?
Pallete Multi-Toned Spaghetti Strap Dress, $24.80 from Forever 21
This dress is just waiting to be accessorized. Blazer, tights, you can class this number right up. There are tones of gold, pink, red, and pewter here, so you can rock this with any number of jewelry palettes, and may we suggest these?
Sequin Dress With Sequin Peter Pan Collar, $66.36 from Asos
I know how much you all love a good Peter Pan collar, and this allover sequined piece is a fabulous way to dress up the girly trend. Since this is such a neutral palette, accessories like shoes and tights can deviate from the safe zone with subtle patterns or bright colors.
Are those some seasonal colors? Ever so subtly. And those shapes are sort of like candy canes, too. I like this piece because it’s a little looser-fitting and it has a big, loud pattern to hide my one-too-many-cupcakes belly.
Enjoy your festivities approaching the holidays, Lovelies! And have a safe and wonderful weeked!
What do you think about sequins? Holiday-only or year-round-appropriate?

I like the first 3 ones. The 1st one isnt as good as the 2nd or 3rd one though imo
I dont like the dress that Blake Lively is wearing.. The long sleeves, and shoulder pads kind of look a bit weird imo

<3 for the first one and the wine-slip ode to my own klutzy nature.

I hate the texture of sequins. It makes me cringe. I love the pallete multi-toned spaghetti strap dress though. Beautiful colors. I doubt I could wear it without wanting to rip off the sequins. Pity, since it’s so pretty.

I like the top picture of the girls but otherwise, sequins is not for me.

Dude I am lovin’ the last dress! The sequin mini dress… has a little vintage with retro ish in it! Wish I could have that
Also, Taylor Swift’s dress is very gorgous, she wears it well. Not feelin’ Blake Lively’s dress though :/
