Happy Friday! Your weekly party dress picks await, after the cut!
Since today is a “golden date” (11.11.11), this week’s LBD has a glorious splash of gold. Pair this with a blazer for a sophisticated evening look, or knock their socks off by pairing it with brightly colored heels.
One-Shoulder Cascading Sequins Dress, $60.00 from Bebe
Make an entirely different statement, and likely be the alt-belle of the ball in this casual-meets-formal vintage-inspired maxi dress. I’m seeing a tough leather jacked and heeled boots, no?
Plaid Maxi Dress, $24.80 from Forever 21
For happy hour with the girls or a movie date, this sheer and floral frock says a lot with a little. This is a statement piece, so light jewelry and maybe a denim jacket would be the best way to wear this dress.
Mesh & Floral Sweetheart Dress, $24.80 from Forever 21
Where to begin? Well, love it or hate it, this tight, bright number won’t leave you at a loss for attention. And though it’s a “body-con” dress in its fit, the pattern is very forgiving.
ASOS Body-Conscious Dress with Brushstroke Print, $44.92 from Asos
This dress is a steal for its light-handed glamour and simple silhouette. I’d definitely put some tights or leggings on with it, for weather and wardrobe-malfunction’s sake, but this piece can be worn and reworked again and again in your wardrobe.
Wavy Sequin Dress, $27.80 from Forever 21
You weren’t planning on staying in tonight, were you? Not with these dazzling options. What do you think?

@f5ye_angel5@xanga - Same here. It looks sexy yet innocent at the same time. Quite flirty.

HATE the plaid dress.

I’d like the floral without the mesh.

I like the yellow one. Don’t think I’d wear it though.

Okay that second dress just looks like someone fell into a lumberjack’s shower curtain.

@ConfessionsOfAWhore@xanga - haha yeah it’s DEFINITELY not for everyone.

@kackie - I’m trying to imagine a scenario in which that dress would work other than a barnyard dance. I think it’s mainly the petticoat layering on the bottom that bothers me most. If the dress were shorter or went straight down without the extra layering, it would look better. As it is now it looks like it can’t decide whether it’s a bedskirt, a nightgown, a beach dress, or a petticoat.

I’m sorry, but I don’t like any of these. The last one is a maybe. Everything else though… yeesh. That plaid maxi dress is one of the ugliest things I’ve ever seen, and I love plaid!

I like the sequin dress

i love the mesh and floral one… I think thats because it would compliment rather than clash with my hair colour… or it could make me look like a right tart…. but yes the mesh and floral one.

I love the Pretty in Pink pic. I remember sitting in the theater waiting for her to come out in this awesome dress she designed thinking it was going to be breathtaking…it was breathtaking in a gasping sort of way. The whole audience made one collective gasping sound. It was on the hideous side of ugly. So not what I was expecting,
I think the plaid Maxi dress would be adorable for Christmas.
