When I opened the package to my Golden Wonder bath bomb from LUSH — a favorite of mine and of many for really fabulous handmade bath products — I didn’t know what to expect. I’d never indulged myself by buying a bath bomb before, so this was totally new for me. And I almost don’t want to ruin the surprise, but I don’t think I can with words. It’s just too much fun.
Fortunately for all of you hoping I wouldn’t spoil it, it turns out taking a bath and taking a picture are mutually exclusive actions in my life, so I’ll just describe what happened in words.
I turned on the newest episode of Project Accessory and stepped in to the bath. I dropped in the Golden Wonder. First it started fizzing yellow and white, and it smelled really good, like citrus — but sweeter. Then the bath bomb started to pour out blue pigment and fizzy fragrance into my bath water, and the next thing I knew, yellow and pink smaller bombs burst forth from it followed by tiny gold stars… everywhere. It was magical. Not to mention that it felt really great on my skin. The water took on a warm nourishing texture that didn’t leave funny film behind.
Yeah, it was kind of like that.
After the bath, I had to take a cleaning cloth and wipe out the bit of gold residue the stars left on the inside of the tub, but it came right off. It didn’t leave a blue ring or anything, even though my bath was BLUE. All in all, it was a brilliant bath. I never thought I’d enjoy something like a bath bomb so much, but then again, someone put some serious thought into the Golden Wonder. And at $6.50, I think I’ll go to LUSH tomorrow and buy like five more, for me and for friends. Talk about a great stocking stuffer that’ll make a lasting impression.
It doesn’t look like much, but the LUSH Golden Wonder packed some seriously girly thrill for my bath. I feel weird even saying that, but it’s true! I’d recommend it as a gift or just to treat yourself. I’m interested to try their other ones, now…

This is too funny because I JUST got out of the tub. And I had used a Lush Bath Bomb. AND that Bath Bomb was Golden Wonder.
Loved it!

Uarrgghh. I think I’m one of few people who actually cannot STAND Lush. I’d much rather enjoy the natural fragrance of Sabon than the chemical and fake scent-riddled products of Lush.

@dicemn7@xanga - no WAY! That’s awesome. Man, when those stars came out I didn’t even know what to do. It was highly entertaining.

@ConfessionsOfAWhore@xanga - I totally understand. Walking in that store the first time the scent travelled into the veins of my brain and I swear I was losing oxygen by the second.

I LOVE LOVE taking baths. Especially on rainy days. I would really like to try these. However, I think I’ll stick to my violet, lavender, and rose natural bath oils.

Dudddeeee if I didn’t live in a tiny apartment with an average tub…. and had a nice-sized jacuzzi… I would so love to take a bath in a jacuzzi filled with sparkly bubbles.

I usually don’t take baths(I’m a shower type of girl), but that sounds amazing!
