Some might argue that Saturday Night Live isn’t what it used to be, but it’s moments like these that give us hope for a brighter and more hilarious future for Saturday night’s main, live TV attraction. If you’re as much of a socially-withdrawn loser like myself, you were wearing matching flannel pajamas, completely fused to your couch and drinking from a JFK-era bottle of chardonnay, soaking up the hilarity of this skit.

Now, I promised myself I wouldn’t write one more post about Kim Kardashian’s divorce or her grossly-sensationalized family, but I’ve justified it as being a post in praise of the comedic genius of Kristen Wiig as Kris Jenner and Abbey Elliott, Vanessa Bayer and Nasim Pedrad as Khloé, Kourtney and Kim (respectively). The night’s guest star, Charlie Day, also makes a memorably funny appearance as the divorce lawyer raving about hors d’oeuvres wrapped in $100 bills.

Just when I thought an opportunity to really embarrass the Kardashians had finally presented itself, I discovered that not only did the sisters find the skit amusing, but Kourtney claims she nearly “peed herself” during Kristen Wiig’s portrayal of her mother.

Is there any moment in which these sisters aren’t laughing? Whether it be at us for making them famous, at E! for giving them millions, or at the “stolen” sex tape that has seemingly dissolved from all of our memories.

In any case, Khloé stated in a recent tweet: “Ha! I just saw that SNL skit they did and I could not stop laughing…It’s SNL. They are supposed to make fun. It’s not who we are and I know that.” [via iVillage]

I think what’s so confusing about what makes this funny to the Kardashians is that — dare I say — it may actually be who they are. If it wasn’t, it wouldn’t be the most-viewed clip on Hulu nor would it be so hysterically funny. Or hey, maybe it is all in good fun.

Do you guys think this video is hilarious? What do you think about Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian laughing at the skit? Are they being genuine or just trying to save face?
