Justin’s past rapping stints with Jimmy Fallon are all jokes compared to Justin’s latest rapping attempt with the band, Freesol. It’s true that people everywhere, including me, have been demanding that Timberlake get back to his celebrity roots and make a new album instead of being selfish acting forever and ever. Imagine my surprise when I scrolled through E! this afternoon and saw this gem.
Freesol, what E! calls “a progressive hip-hop, rock, and soul band,” performs “Role Model” with J.T. above. Timberlake also appears on Freesol’s “Hoodies On, Hats Low.”
The boy bander left behind his innocent image a long time ago, but he’s never really gone for the all-out bad boy status that he’s testing in this new song. J.T. has grown so far from his ’90s image these days that he isn’t afraid to lay a rhyme down, either! Rhymes with plentiful curse words!
While I’m still holding my breath for his next album, this video definitely satiates a bit. I think Timberlake would make a decent rapper should he choose to pursue it.
What do you think of J.T.’s rapping? What other boy banders do you wish would start rapping?

I’ve never understood why people like him. To me he’s talentless and not even cute.

Great actor, great singer, mediocre rapper. The only reason I say that is because of his voice it just doesnt sound right rapping, idk. The words were good its just, the voice lol.

I smell major auto-tune. Blah, that was awful

I’m kind of confused, but sure…

Is this for real, I mean, it’s not supposed to be a joke? I don’t want to see any boy banders start rapping. Thinking you can rap just because you were successful as a singer is as bad as thinking you can be an actor/actress because you’re a singer. Oh wait, he’s done both now…poorly I might add.

oh… no….

he’s trying to be the white T-Pain with the exaggerated autotune. I like his normal singing voice in the sexy back and like I love you songs
he can sing & dance, sleek style and has a charismatic personality. I don’t remember anything about him negative to hate on, so he’s like will smith and loveable-that’s why he’s famous.

When I read the headline, my first thought was “God help us all.” But it’s just not my kind of music anyway so I would probably kind of hate it no matter what.

He should just sing…….. But I’m sure he’ll still make lots of money.
Why does he act “gangster”? Last time I checked JT didn’t grow up in the hood. The people who actually grew up in those kind of circumstances are probably just laughing at him.
I’ve always wondered why acting like you’re from the hood is acceptable but adopting an English, southern or cowboy accent etc… is considered weird. To me it’s the same thing.

He sounds like Lil Wayne to me. And I’ve never been a fan of Lil Wayne’s sound :/
