Plaid Pigeon — as far as I know — originated this adorable idea behind plastic toys turned succulent planters.
The directions on how to construct both the pink giraffe and hippo (like mine above) may be found on the animal planter tutorial at The Thrillz of Hillz. Great, so now what’s stopping you from creating your own?
Thoughts on these adorable planters? Do you think you’d try a project like this?

I really love these! Not the most practical, but definitely great for decor.

Lol, it sounds like “Succulent Animal…Planters”. Like your’re growing succulent, delicious, juicy animals. In planters. Yummy.

This is the best thing I have seen in my life. I’m never going to stop making these now.

Okay. I’ll be the first one to say it.
THIS DOES NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO “CUTE.”
Bunnies are cute.Puppies are cute.
Babies are cute (when you don’t have to take them home with you).
This is weird. It looks like someone took their kids toys and made them wanna be Chia Pets.

Cute! I love this idea … it’s kind of similar to Meg Allan Cole’s animal jewelry rack project http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3CEtNdUU_c So many possibilities …
