Eight-year-old Sophia Grace Brownlee made a name for herself after her performance of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” went viral on YouTube. Sophia’s rendition glittered so hard that Ellen Degeneres asked her to appear on her show–with surprise guest Nicki Minaj!
The little girl jumped for joy after being shocked by her idol on stage. Ellen then glammed out Sophia and her cousin Rosie, 5, with Nicki-esque wigs and microphones. Nicki, Sophia and Rosie together gave an impromptu stab at the song that made the latter two Internet sensations. Check it out below.
“Seriously, we are watching a journey that’s about to be amazing. You are incredible. I just want you to stay in school. Music is beautiful, but stay in school, OK? Put your books first and singing second.”
I can really see Sophia getting into music when she’s older. She has a great stage presence and a lot of confidence in herself. And kudos to Nicki for coming on Ellen to meet Sophia and perform with her. It was really sweet and Nicki definitely made Sophia’s world!

sophia grace is so adorable and talented to boot. i can almost forgive nicki for her ridiculous milk-maid meets brothel outfit and tri-dipped wig.
on the show, she suggested she was taking sophia and her “hype man” on a shopping spree. i hope she actually takes them rather than just sending them off with a wad of cash. stuff is great, and i realise nicki’s busy farting out more chart-toppers, but i’m sure all the stuff in the world is incomparable to spending a bit of quality with your idol.

You can tell Nicki is a tad uncomfortable with her singing the more not so child friendly parts of the song. lol. But she definitely took the show, that’s for sure. Nicki looked as if she couldn’t even keep up with her…or maybe she was just astonished with the girl’s energy.
