Sophia Grace Brownlee, an 8 year old girl from the UK, covers “Super Bass” and almost does a better job than Nicki Minaj herself.
Little Sophie really seems to be into the song, and she even has a pint sized hype girl to back her up. If I was Nicki Minaj, I would watch out for this little girl! What do you think of the 8 year old’s cover of “Super Bass”? Could she give Nicki Minaj a run for her money?

lol. XD How cute.
She actually has an okay singing voice, she just needs a bit more practice.

lolololololol the kid next to her

Cute, but to be honest.. some of these lyrics aren’t suited for an 8 year old to be singing.

omg that’s soooo adorable! she’s got so much attitude! lol for a little girl, she has a pretty fantastic voice. it’ll only get better as she gets older. that was hystericalll

I loved that. And I love her voice. I mean, she has some good vocals on her if she develops them
Or maybe I’m tone deaf, haha. But I agree, some of the the lyrics aren’t appropriate, but it’s all harmless fun. You can tell that she doesn’t know what they mean.

Ended like a boss.

@woundedrhymes@xanga - yeahhh…i kinda was; my daughter wouldn’t be singing that song lol

@MethodOfMyMadness@xanga - that’s what i was gonna say.. like whatever happen to abc’s and 123′s and twinkle twinkle and barney and sesame street songs.. i work with kids and the kids know nothing about barney or sesame street.. they sing katy perry songs.. including california gurls which has the line sex on the beach.. and when the preschool kids had their graduation.. their graduation song was dynamite.. it’s crazy this generation..

@CrAdLe2daGrAve@xanga - No clue. I’m only 23 years old and things seem to have changed so much since I was a kid. My parents would never have allowed me to listen to music with lyrics such as these. Heck, I wasn’t even allowed to watch R-rated movies until I was 16 or 17. And now, I see 12 and under in R-rated movies.

I’m sorry, but that little girl slightly frightens me. Fascinating to watch though.

@MethodOfMyMadness@xanga - yeah i’m only 25 and growing up i didn’t listen to none of these songs until i was in high school.. this generation of kids are a lost cause..

Her Vocals Are Great, Can’t Believe Her Mother Allows Her To Listen To This…

I think it’s creepy because you see the mom in the mirror doing all these seductive dance moves, egging her on. She probably makes her practice so they can help for their great YouTube channel together and get rich and famous off the internet. Reminds me of Toddlers and Tiaras.
The kid on the left is proabably treated like a dog because she doesn’t have Nicki Minaj-like talent.
**Sidenote: It’s okay for a kid to listen to anything, as long as they don’t know what it means. I sang along to a lot of bad late 1990′s songs without a clue what they meant and I turned out fine. Kids just like how it sounds and stuff.

This girl knows wassssup, i love her
Shes boss.

I was kinda impressed by the singing. Potential. English accent adds a level of cuteness. Though I probably wouldn’t encourage her to sing a song like that at her age if I was her parents.
@CrAdLe2daGrAve@xanga - As a 21-year-old, I can say at 8 I knew those songs sure (but I had grown out of Sesame Street and Barney by that point…) but I was also singing what I heard on the radio. Michael Jackson, Spice Girls. Not to mention stuff from the 80′s my mom would play. I knew lyrics, but I didn’t know the meaning behind most of them if they were sexual and if anything had the word “naked” I was like *gasp* even though it had nothing to do with sex. So I don’t think it is a generation thing. I also used to sing the “I’m too sexy” song when I was 4, my parents said “don’t sing that” so I started singing “I’m too taxi” because sexy and taxi sounded a like.

i pray she doesn’t know the meaning of those lyrics lol. but seriously, she’s good! and when she started singing i was like =O

That girl can sing
I hope she hones her talent. I gloss over the fact of WHAT she’s singing, because if I recall the songs I thought were ‘awesome’ and that I sang along to growing up, the Mom in me would be APPALLED.
I went to a Hedley concert with a friend of mine, and the entire place was filled with 9/10 yr old girls singing SEDUCTIVE lyrics and my eyes nearly fell outta my head. Sheesh. When did I become so GET OFF MY LAWN YOU DAMN KIDS!! Lol!

That was a bit frightening, to be completely honest…

Should an 8 year old really be listening to Nicki Minaj? I’m 27 and her lyrics are too mature for me!
