Pixar’s Monster’s Inc and Universal Pictures’ Despicable Me are both coming out with a sequel. Hooray!
I’m just hoping that the two films don’t follow the sequel-failing trend as animated movies tend to do.
With only a budget of $70 million Despicable Me racked up a whopping $543 million internationally thanks to the hilariously cute Minion characters. Despicable Me 2 will be focusing more on the Minions but unfortunately will not be released until June 3, 2013.
As for Monster’s Inc, the sequel is Monster’s University and will be based on the formation of Mike and Sully’s friendship from their college years and how they weren’t necessarily the best of friends but eventually overcame their differences. The release date is June 21, 2013.

Still never seen monsters inc, so I guess I can watch part 2 then part 1 since it’s a prequel. Despicable Me 2 probably won’t be too great. The minions were cool, but a movie centered around them will probably not be all that great.

Never saw Despicable Me, but I’m excited for Monsters Inc 2! I also just saw a preview over the weekend for another Shrek movie, but based entirely around Puss in Boots. I was all ready to be angry that they were driving the series into the ground with another sequel, but it sounds like it could be a pretty good movie!

I’M SO EXCITED FOR MONSTERS!!!! I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for them to do a sequel since the first once came out about nine years ago. I love Sulley…when I found out they were doing it, I immediately looked it up on IMDb to make sure John Goodman was voicing Sulley. Thank goodness he is or else I was out.

I never saw Monsters, Inc. And i NEVER saw despicable me because it looked sooo dumb.
I’m excited for Puss N Boots though. I love that little cat with the cute eyes. Awwwwww. Well, I love Shrek in general.

I think monsters INC will be a good one but im not so sure about dispicable me i mean it was a great movie the first time but im worried about a second one

I’m excited about the Monster’s Inc. sequel but part of me believes it will not be as good as everyone hypes it up to be. As for the Despicable Me sequel, I think that’s a mistake.

I think both sequels will be a let down. I mean, Toy Story 2 sucked – it was only redeemed by how great the third one turned out to be.

LOVED Despicable Me, and the minions were funny, but not THAT funny. Hopefully they won’t be the main story of the sequel.

I read somewhere that Monsters Inc 2 will actually a prequel and not a sequel… So… I don’t think I’d like to see it.
