“We thought of it the week before. We had tuxes as a backup because we thought we were gonna chicken out. And we did. And we were like let’s not do that. Let’s not do that. But then we were like, ‘let’s take a little bit of acid.’ So we did that and of course an hour later we were like, ‘WE GOTTA WEAR THE DRESSES.’….The thing is we didn’t take a lot of acid. So we were coming down on the acid in the audience and were like ‘no fun.’ No fun. Oh God please don’t let us win. Please don’t let us win.”
– South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker on Jimmy Kimmel last night, shocking no one with the news that both were on acid when they famously showed up to the 2000 Oscars in replicas of Jennifer Lopez’ and Gwyneth Paltrow’s famous dresses. [via BuzzFeed]

hahahaha that’s hilarious, especially with the photo of what they chose to wear (i was too young in 2000 to remember/understand this back then)

ehh. who cares. LOL. I bet if a regular dude said he was on acid, he’d be like totally put in jail asap.
But when a celeb does it, they get shunned for a few days and maybe some kind of inquirer article.. fuckin lame. lol

@ohletitbe@xanga - lol nahh, you can’t get arrested for anything like that. In fact, you could walk up to a cop & be like, “Dude, I’m fuuucked up.” & he would give you a hard time but couldn’t arrest you unless he actually found something on you. It’s not actually illegal to get high, it’s just illegal to possess the drugs. Legal loopholes are awesome. ;]
