Well, this will end well. A pro-vegan group called the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine has posted a billboard portraying cheese as DEATH.
DEATH, guys. And it gets better: the billboard stands near Lambeau Field in Wisconsin, where the Green Bay Packers play. YUP: an anti-cheese ad in Wisconsin.
The billboard depicts the Grim Reaper wearing a Cheesehead hat with the copy,”Warning: Cheese Can Sack Your Health. Fat. Cholesterol. Sodium.”
Wisconsin produces 2.6 billion pounds of cheese annually.

BEWARE of the cheese head O:
o0o0oo lol hahahhaha….come on..really?

I think PETA should stick to the naked ads.
guest
Yea…still going to eat cheese. Oh well.
guest
And, had the ad been “normal”, no one would be discussing the matter. There’s a reason for these over the top antics, PETA included. All attention is good attention. LOL to Whoopie!!!!
guest
Cheese is amazing so they can suck it.

Just as bad as PETA. I will continue eating my Philly cheesesteaks. Meat and all.

I’m surprised I haven’t heard about this yet, considering I live 30 minutes from Green Bay.
Seriously, what a bunch of assholes. Cheese is great stuff. And right fucking next to Lambeau?
WISCONSIN FOR LYFE! CHEESE, BEER, AND BRATS!

I am from the Green Bay area, and the creators of the cheesehead hat actually threatened to sue, so the group was forced to take the cheesehead off of it. So now the billboard just looks stupid. It debuted today, and I’m surprised they continued with it, seeing that the point isn’t as strong anymore. Not that it mattered here. To tell a Wisconsinite to not eat cheese is like telling them not to drink beer.. It just isn’t going to happen.

Oh noes. I guess I’m gonna die soon.
guest
Cheese gives me calcium (I don’t drink milk), and it’s rather tasty. I will keep eating cheese until I die.
guest
yea i won’t ever give up my cheese
guest
well it is a known fact that dairy products can be harmful to your health.
guest
people who are aware of that, should be making giant banners.
guest
How can anyone even take that seriously?
guest
@XoXoDeadGirlXoXo@xanga - Yeah but in moderation I can’t see how it would be a problem for one’s health. I don’t drink much milk, but I do enjoy cheese. Just like beer, soda, sugary things, salty stuff, etc… I think the poster is pretty stupid though. Why not make a giant banner that’s actually remotely informative? This looks like a bad joke.

Hahaa… this is funny! If I saw this billboard going down the highway I’d laugh – who can take this seriously? But it’s still cool… I’m “anti-dairy”. haha I should add this to my collection.

@blackspiders@xanga - True. Anything in moderation is fine including dairy.
guest
I like it but then I’d say it’s meaning is death to all who enter Lambeau.
guest
Oh, great, just what we need. Another group of useless libtards trying to shove their whiny-ass lifestyles down our throats.
I’m a carnivore, and damn proud of it!

@Hinase@xanga - @blackspiders@xanga - http://www.rense.com/general26/milk.htm
do you really believe that?

@XoXoDeadGirlXoXo@xanga - I still believe it despite the scare tactics of the website provided.

Is it weird that this makes me WANT to buy cheese?
Also, the fact that Halloween is coming up nulls and voids what they wanted to portray.

@XoXoDeadGirlXoXo@xanga - That link made me laugh. Especially when I went and checked out the notmilk.com page. Milk causes violent behavior? Really? That’s just entertaining.
No offense. I totally support you in your quest to be dairy free…by all means do what you think is best. Those websites are just ridiculous.

Cheese is so freaking delicious <3 That picture makes me want to go out and buy some and eat it and then continue to buy it forever because it’s delicious.

Hmm…
I think vegetables do to.Especially negative calorie ones….They kill dude. They take away your preciously earned calories:P

This is annoying. I hate it when people try to tell me what to eat. I will never believe that cheese or milk is bad for you. I don’t judge you because youre non-dairy, so stay the hell out of my business.
guest
Fuck them, I love cheddar.
guest
All I got from this is that Packers fans should be feared.

@XoXoDeadGirlXoXo@xanga - I skimmed it and I think the problem is milk isn’t good for us to drink anymore these days, not as a rule of thumb for all human history. When we didn’t have all sorts of chemicals in well, everything, and you were getting it more or less straight from the animal, when getting all needed calcium from plants wasn’t possible, when dairy just wasn’t consumed as much, it probably wasn’t a big deal or concern.
But let’s be real. The same issues apply to meat. Nothing is wrong with eating meat…except these days it comes from corn-fed animals (make it more unhealthy for us) that are injected with stuff that just gets passed into our systems. And people gorge themselves of meat, especially processed stuff.
The same thing can apply for eating vegetables or fruit. They are covered in pesticides. Even organic supermarket fruit isn’t always 100%. And we don’t know yet if there are any issues when it comes to them being genetic modified.
I’m going to assume since you are rather informed, you have seen Food Inc. I think we both can agree the food industry (ah, Monsato) is a bigger part of the issue in general and it isn’t simple as “milk is bad for you, never drink it”.
