Apparently Equestria and Galactic Republic (or is the Empire at this point?) have something in common besides sparkles and non-human creatures that talk. A recent episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (isn’t it?) ended with a conclusion almost frame-for-frame mimicked Star Wars: A New Hope. And sheesh, Princess Leia translates well as a pegasus, huh?

@july37@xanga - Because the animated series is actually really good. I was a bit “wtf” too when my 20 something guy friend was like “You need to watch My Little Ponies” but then I watched it and understood.
