Rachel Zoe premiered her new Spring 2012 line during New York Fashion Week, and it proved to be a huge hit with the media and buyers.

Her line was inspired by Bridgette Bardot in the late 60s and early 70s and she paired with Li & Fung to help develop the pieces. It includes lots of faux furs, accessories, sequins and hand bags. The prices range form $250 to $700, which is pretty pricey.

Her line is being picked up at Neimann Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, shopbop.com, and Bloomingdales, where she made an appearance for Fashion Night Out.

Apparently, her line received an eager and excited response and stores want her clothes. Her line won’t actually be available for retail sale until July. I think she has some adorable and sassy pieces that are true to her style, but do you think consumers are going to purchase a $700 sequience dress?

Based off her Bravo reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project, younger women are her audience and also demographic for her line, which I think may result in less sales from her true followers.

What do you think about Zoe’s line?
