The Queen of the Monsters, Lady Gaga, had the opportunity to sit down for an interview with legendary designer Jean Paul Gaultier! See a preview of the special entitled, “Gaga by Gaultier,” after the jump!
I sat down and watched the hour-long special. The interview was definitely no holds bar as Gaultier asks Gaga about past drug use, her sexuality, and more. It was cool to hear more about Gaga’s story, how she’s dealing with the fame, and who inspires her style.
You can watch the entire interview here (Shoutout to reader Saridactyl for the link!)
Did you watch “Gaga by Gaultier?” What did you think?

Personally, I love Lady Gaga. I’m not sure where so many people get off trying to over analyze her. She’s a performance artist. Would you go to a play, or view a painting and scream “they’re trying to hard!” when you obviously have no grasp of the message the artist is trying to send? Art is about the artist’s message. Not everyone is expected to get it, or even like it. That’s the whole point of art.

@Ashley Nicole Anders@facebook - So are method actors “trying too hard?”
I’m sorry, I wasn’t aware that you knew her personally. A true artist is consistent, is she not? You can dislike her, that’s fine, I just don’t understand why people are so hellbent on getting other people to agree with them on their personal opinions.
Each person interprets art in different ways. That is what’s so wonderful about it. You and some others just happen to believe that she tries too hard. Of course tries. She wants to be/remain famous. Shock artists often seek shock, it’s what they do.

@Ashley Nicole Anders@facebook - “pretty much applies to what you are doing yourself. So.. pot calling the kettle black here would definitely apply.”
Whoa, Pot calling the kettle black, my ass. I stated that I didn’t understand why everyone was so hellbent on getting people to agree with their own opinions AFTER you responded to my comment. I didn’t MAKE you do that. You initiated this whole conversation.
Context is important, you know.
