I vote that you should do at least one post a week about a good cause.  You know, just to showcase the efforts of good people all over the world.  I think that would be bomb

DEFINITELY more gif stories. 

I like the fashion blogs where you talk about certain styles that are up and coming (this is lovelyish after all).You guys seem to be doing alright overall. I like the do-it-at-home blogs a lot too. I learned how to make a great facial from those. 

For the love of God and all that is holy, no more Jenn-type posts.

@ohveryoung@xanga - I like that idea a lot!  Some articles can even highlight products/services we can buy where the proceeds benefit good causes, such as those Ford scarves for breast cancer research.

@MangoWOW@xanga - I like the DIY ideas as well.  Also ideas on how to repurpose older items to make them fresh and new rather than buying more items.

How about articles to cultivate inner beauty?  Self-empowerment?  Overall self-esteem boosters?  Lovelyish is more than just a pretty face, right?

Unpopular opinion – Less GIFs. I see enough of them on tumblr. I like actual stories better at any rate.

I really like some of the nail tutorials featured on the site. DIYs are always fun too.

does everyone really love the GIFs? i guess i’m in the minority here.

Yeah, I’m not a huge fan of the GIF stories either (please don’t hurt me!).  I love all the tutorials though and any DIYs.  And yes, less Kardashians pretty please!

Less GIF’s! And more stories about the news and good things that people have done! If Lovelyish is “More than Just a Pretty Face”, there should be more articles about inner beauty and about the good in people too and maybe some articles that aren’t about the States? I know most of your interns and readers are based over there, but it’d be nice to have some more focus on the European, Africa, Asian and Russian readers too

I don’t care much about GIFs, but I do enjoy reading info on new products reviews and fashion trends!!

Lol, my vote goes to less gif stories.

But my philosophy is just more of everything. I can skip the stuff I don’t want to read, yano? In general, I just like it when new posts come up, no matter what they are.

Dislikes: the Kardashians, posts by CollegeCandy, “this woman looks so HEALTHY,” Lady Gaga’s latest hijinks, wardrobe etc. clothes posts (hey, it’s a preference, but I know this is lovelyish), Katy Perry.

Likes: Posts with multiple pics of a celebrity (for example, Rihanna the other day), makeup posts, nail art posts, daily deals, *well-written* GIF stories, stuff from tumblr, adorable children and animal videos, essentially any posts by Jessica, general celebrity gossip,

I want more DIY… I like seeing things go from thirft store sad to suddenly fab.  I’m totally on board with a weekly look humans did good things for once post too… 

More fashion/make up/hair tutorials. Also… recipes and stuff that are easy for young women for no time to make.

I think it’d be a good idea to write articles about good causes (maybe even good causes supported by famous people…?).
Less articles about the Kardashians, Lady Gaga, Taylor Momsen, etc.
I also really enjoy the art nail tutorials! I love them!! I wish you’d do more! If you want, I’ll do them!

I think the GIF stories are hilarious. I’m also super into any personal style/beauty tutorials. Also, bring back “What are you wearing? Wednesdays!” because those are awesome (especially the reader submitted ones, those were fun to see).

Otherwise, maybe a new site design? I don’t know, I just feel like the current web design doesn’t really match a blog that covers style/beauty stuff. Maybe it’s just because I’m a minimalist when it comes to web design, I like streamlined things without a lot of pattern/distraction (Yes, I’m a typography geek as well– no comic sans here!) But the patterns and the pink/grey combination and stuff just don’t really do it for me. 

I like the cute animal posts.

More GIF stories! Love themmm. Also, I’ve been getting more interested in nail polish, so bring on the pretty colors and awesome how-to’s!

I don’t really enjoy the GIF stories. They feel kind of childish.

The only thing I really wish would change are the obsessional binges w/ celebrities that Lovelyish goes on…such as the Kate Middleton Frenzy. I get tired of seeing the same person featured over and over again.

I love the inspirational stuff like DIY and success stories from women. I also like fashion and sometimes it seems a little lacking.

You’re doing pretty good. I visit lovelyish more than any of the other ishes. 

The DIY posts are my favorites.
