Ouch! That is the first word that pops in my mind when I think of high heels without a heel.
These shoes were first sighted when the infamous Lady Gaga sported a $10,000 pair similar to the ones above by Noritaka Tatehana. Lady Gaga reportedly took a big tumble from the lack of support, but for some reason, the shoes have become a fad and designers are catching on.
British designer Antonio Berardi added these to his line of shoes for numerous celebrity followers including Victoria Beckham and Gwenyth Paltrow.
Here’s a perfect example of the madness on Victoria Beckham in Antonio Berardi heel-less, leather boots.
This new trend is starting to emerge here and it’s a frightening one. I guess it will help you with balance and calf toning, but I believe there are sketcher shoes for that. I would rather go barefoot, but some people may find these the ultimate staple of being a fashion forward person.
What do you think about extreme fashion pieces?

I think people who risk a severe injury in order to look good are idiots.

I never thought I’d like something like that. But I’d definitely wear it, I love them.
guest
It looks awkward, like they’re tip-toeing.
guest
It looks awkward, and can you imagine accidentally relaxing before remembering that you don’t have a heel there to support you? Ouch.

Let’s not make this a trend.
guest
I think they look like works of art. They do not look practical, I know I’d fall on my butt the first minute I’d have them on.
guest
wtf.
that’s all i have to say about them.
magnolia / 1357 posts
Not true. Victoria Beckham wore them first.
guest
i mean, i love fashion and i love to try kind of all the new fashion trends out there…
but those heelless shoes are just silly. why do those people who wear that kind of shoes risk their health for nothing?????

Upon further examination of the shoe, you can see that some of them offer more support than you’d think.
guest
It’s not my style. I was taught to walk in heels from heel to toe, and i’m hella clumsy. So, no.

They look so dangerous. Catch your foot on something and you have a broken ankle on your hands. Yes, that happens with “regular” heels too, but people aren’t used to walking around with no heels on their shoes.

To me the spike on the back of a heel is the sexiest part. this is like missing everything that’s awesome about heels
lily / 5148 posts
Doesn’t seem too practical in my mind.

It just seems really bad for your feet. Though shoes with heels are bad for your feet too if you always wear them. Whatever, I guess if you can walk in them. I couldn’t.
daisy / 571 posts
looove.
i wish i could afford a pair.
guest
I’d wear them to go on a date when I have a hot guy next to me for support in case I fall
guest
so weird. and having no money its so sad to think people are paying $10,000 for these shoes. I could do so many more useful things with that money.
guest
I don’t care how fashionable they become, I will not get a pair.
sunflower / 310 posts
It looks cool, but unless I was a celebrity, I wouldn’t wear them out of pure lack of functionality or a place to wear them. Designers don’t design things to be functional, they design them to look cool, and I think they’ve succeeded!

It reminds me of how barbie’s feet are shaped, the really awkward “I’m standing on my tippy-toes look, that is totally unnatural”
guest
I can’t even form the words to describe how awkward and bad that looks :[

i’m pretty sure that i’d just fall and die.
guest
They’re ugly and I would never wear them. I’ll probably trip and twist my ankle or some sort.
guest
i would never wear them.
I mean I already fall wearing sneakers.
i dont want to try these.
guest
I’d at least try them to see if I could walk in them.
guest
They look awful.
Heels are heels for a reason. People are just trying to reinvent the wheel and failing.
guest
My first thought when I saw the first picture: “Wtf man, why would you wear that? -__-”.
I wish that people who wear these kind of heels will fall and break their ankle (half kidding).
guest
I’d fall over. I fall over in trainers. Plus I’m good not looking like a burglar or a hoofed beast.
guest
It’ll definitely kill my ankles. I wouldn’t wear them.
guest
like with any shoes… if it isnt comfy, i wont wear them. =) they may look awesome but theyre just that. good to look at. but i have to say that i remember when victoria wore them and it was before gaga i think. victorias were hot as hell! i dont know how she got them on but theyre hot.
guest
I DO go barefoot.
It’s pretty awesome.
.Carrie Ann.
guest
NO.
guest
Looks like it hurts, a lot! Not only the feet, but probably all the leg muscles (or more) due to the constant straining when you walk and stand.
guest
HATE. No, I will NEVER wear these. And I will NEVER like them. It looks like you’re tiptoeing around and looks even more retarded that they’re 9 inches tall.
guest
I just can’t imagine how you walk in those without killing yourself.
guest
I’m almost 100% positive I’d trip and break something or worse.
guest
These shoes should come with a warning: Don’t drink and walk.
rose / 903 posts
Blech. Hate them. Part of the elegance and sexiness of high heels is the actual heel! Take that away and they just look awkward and very unsexy.
sunflower / 264 posts
@MoonFaeEyryan@xanga - does that include people who wear high-heeled shoes?
guest
I like Victoria Beckham’s boots, but they do have the look of fetish-wear to them.
guest
I think they’re ugly.
magnolia / 1066 posts
Weird. Painful. No thanks.
guest
It looks like they broke… I would LOVE the boots if they had a heel, but like that they look awkward and weird.
sunflower / 281 posts
I think this style is so ugly, unless it’s being used for a scifi movie costume for like a space queen. But otherwise…. so ugly haha.
guest
shoes without heels are disgusting abominations created by the will of satan. humans are meant to walk as uncomfortably as possible. this goes back even as far as neanderthal and cro-magnon shoe fashion.
guest
Really awkward
dahlia / 2103 posts
I think they are nothing short of fuck-ugly. And they make you look like you have hooves, like a goat or a calf or something. When I saw the top pic in this post, my first thought was “Looks like pony hooves.”
guest
They look like shit.
sunflower / 332 posts
That was the most stupidest idea I’ve ever seen in action…Well at least surgeon’s will get paid better this year.
guest
Victoria rocks them!
guest
ew
guest
Never. Ever. These are ridiculous, even if they might seem artsy.
guest
I feel like these would be “high heels” I could maybe actually walk in. I can’t walk in heels at all, so many if the heel were removed, I’d be able to.
lol
